[HALO 2] A study on reaction time

I have a theory about reaction time and Halo skill level. I would like to gather certain information (that will remain confidention if requested) on our group of players. One is Sensitivity settings and another is reaction time based on the following web site.

SpecOps Reaction Time

If those of you who would like to help me with this study please take the reaction time test and send me the score, the 5 times and the average time given on the web site. Also send me your Gamertag and sensitivity settings in Halo. you can send it to me via PM here or through bungie.net beekeeper group where I will also be posting this request. Once I have more information I will report on my findings.

I haven't played, so I speak purely from ignorance, but I would guess lag time is a bigger factor. Lag used to kick my butt on Rogue Spear back in the day.

Yeah Lag can be a factor in the game itself but that's why I am trying to go outside the game to get my data on reaction time. The web site I link to is really uncomplcated so lag should be less of a variable there. the sensitivity settings are used both in single, multiplayer and online so that should give me another bit of information to play around with.

Done and done.

Reaction time 2: 00.266 seconds
Reaction time 3: 00.235 seconds
Reaction time 4: 00.297 seconds
Reaction time 5: 00.25 seconds

Total time: 1.31 seconds

Avg. time: 00.26 seconds

Sensitivity is 10

OK, yah. Just a really quick look then.
-My sensitivity is a 3.
-I was a decent amount slower at that test (~.35 AVE if I remember correctly) than twisted.
-twisted can beat me any day of the week, especially with head-shots

Hmmmmm....

Is this just a test, or is it a game of some sort?

What I mean is, are things/people shooting at you?

It's just a simple javascript start/stop test.

I'll post my results later when I can look up my sensitivity settings on Halo 2.

FYI, the series of books this test is an advertisement for is excellent, especially for dorks such as myself.

Well, I'm the slowest yet, it seems.

.422
.37
.319
.41
.33

Total: 1.85
Avg: .37

Sensitivity is 5. Gamertag is Fenwicked.

I blame the slowness on the iMac I'm using at work right now. Smile

I hadn't considered the computer the test was taken on a factor. I have a relatively slower machine at work than I do at home but didn't seem to see much difference in my numbers.

I wonder if it could be offset by the higher connection at work vs at home?

suppose you could give me another set taken from your computer at home?

Gamertag - CirrusStrafe
AKA "Simmons"

Reaction time 1: 00.25 seconds
Reaction time 2: 00.281 seconds
Reaction time 3: 00.266 seconds
Reaction time 4: 00.235 seconds
Reaction time 5: 00.282 seconds
Total time: 1.31 seconds
Avg. time: 00.26 seconds

Sensitivity 5

I took it again to see if that .235 wasn't a nervous fluke:

Reaction time 1: 00.266 seconds
Reaction time 2: 00.234 seconds
Reaction time 3: 00.234 seconds
Reaction time 4: 00.265 seconds
Reaction time 5: 00.312 seconds
Total time: 1.31 seconds
Avg. time: 00.26 seconds

1.31 seconds each time? I think that's a fairly accurate test there =P

Oh, and if you cut out my two worst from each and then add them together:
Avg. time: 00.253 seconds

So, .26 is the same as Matt's and he has a sensitivity of 10. I have half that. Makes ya wonder... is it the setting... or the person? =P

I also find it incredibly freakish that in both of my tests that the total time and the average time were EXACTLY the same as Twizted's O.o;;;
