And you, astute_falcon! Give me back my bee costume! I might need it!

Anyone got a piccy of what one for the event looks like?
What about the Combat Training Lanyard? It has official looking logos for Halo2 and Bungie and Microsoft. We could just flash those at security.
Seriously though.
How funny would it be for a phone to ring while Elan is accepting his award? And have Durga on the line...oh man. sooooo perfect.
Oh, all right,... *gives costume back*
I could see the call now. That'd be wonderful. Wonder if we could get Kristen to do it... =P Oh, and the lanyards, for those who have them. Covert stage rushing! Commendeer the stage, Sleeping Princess style! Wooo!

I don't, but Google to the rescue:

Nebula Awards Photos
They look pretty simple. There may be more than one design. Also looks like the "backstage" area is just the head table. I suspect a laminated badge of the official poster image would work.

Not the Nebulas (Nebulae?) There is a bit of confusion about the awards...
This thread is for Elan Lee winning an innovation award from the International Game Developers Association for ILB in SF on March 9th.
There is another thread...somewhere...about Sean Stewart being up for a Nebula award for his book Perfect Circle which he might receive at the ceremony in Chicago.
I am sure Krystyn will thank you for your assistance though! Why should we be the only ones rushing the stage??
I mean.....NOT rushing the stage.

How awesome is Sean? No really, think about how awesome he is. How many times does an actor or director say thank you to their fans, and then go further to say that we helped them to create this wondrous piece of art?
I am so impressed with the level of professionalism and integrity all of these PMs have shown. Congratulations are definitely well earned.

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness. How funny would that be? Have someone in the audience, notify the show organizers ahead of time, and Elan goes up to accept his award...
A cell phone rings in the audience...
The presenter stops and stares at the person in the front row with the cell phone...
Everyone looks annoyed as the person answers it...
The person looks up at the stage and says: "It's for you, Elan. It's Durga."

That would be totally rad. Totally radical to the MAX!
Elan and Sean both deserve massive kudos for all their brilliant work, and it's really awesome that they seem to feel the same way about us. Our PMs are the bestest.
Also, am I the only one who felt a twinge of nostalgia when Clayfoot trouted himself? No? Maybe it's just me.

Incidentally, missed this the first time through.
There are no words for how awesome Sean is.

Call from Durga I was thinking that the phone should be on the podium. Ideally, it would either be a old-style corded phone, or a cell with a ringtone that SOUNDS like a ringing bell. That way Elan would have to answer it himself. Obviously, a cell could be programmed to show whatever number was incoming as coming from "Durga."
And she would tell him to have everyone look under their seats for a piece of paper, and hold up whatever they find for Elan to see. Then they would all spell out
WE LOVE ELAN
AND BEES
But in a vignere cipher and and and...
damn...where's my ILB methadone?

Dude. I *love* this idea. Oh, wait. That may be the copious amounts of caffeine talking.

It's just a red herring to distract them from what we're really going to do...
Oops. Probably shouldn't have posted that in public.
