This is starting to seem more like an elaborate advertisement than an arg.....

A longer version of the hynodragon illusion video can be downloaded from http://www.grand-illusions.com/dragon.htm
You can even print out and fold your own dragon.

Go to msnfound and click on a character. When you click on that character, it takes you to their journal page (which has an MSN search bar at the top with a search string already in it.)

What you're seeing is a search opera, which is kind of like a soap opera. The 'clues' to possible search strings are words and phrases from the journals. Over the next few weeks, a story will unfold.

In addition, the six people, Reggie, Tad, Karen, Swing, Cy, and Denise trade video files, so there will also be some fun film clips.

if you go to this link it just shows the one article:
http://maureenmcq.blogspot.com/2005/02/my-freelance-gig-goes-live.html#comments

not an arg but still interesting

*edit*
after looking at the blog some more i noticed that Maureen McHugh (the blogger) is also a writer. i shot her an e-mail to see is she if\how she was involved w/ msnfound.com

Maureen McHugh is not just "a" writer. She was one of the writers -- and a self-described "Junior PM" -- who worked on I Love Bees with Sean Stewart et al. The credits list her as writer and managing editor. A log of the post-game chat log with her (a.k.a. Baltic Amber Smith), is located here.

Is it the same Maureen McHugh who co-wrote ILoveBees? From the Hive credits:

Um, a search opera is indeed an ARG, at least that's how some guy named Sean Stewart refers to them. Wink

I suppose so... This one doesn't seem to have much of a 'game' element to it though.

It pretty funny though!

Cy,
Sorry to hear about your archives being wiped out. I just discovered
your site and was curious if I can lend a hand on recovery of your
files?

new e-mail sent back today.

Ben,

I am the same Maureen McHugh who was one of the writers on ilovebees.

I'll wander by the forum (I drop in ever so often to see what's going
on.) I saw the note about ILoveBees and the Innovation Award. Isn't it
cool about Elan Lee and the IGDA? He so deserves it.

I like it!

I do wonder how they're going to turn it into an ARG though... curious.
