I emailed Swing, just because...
She got back to me!
Nothing vital, but fun to hear from her.

Hi hi!! *^_^*

It is so boring here @ the hotel tonight (><)!!! so I thought I would write back to my fellow "judo jealousy" fan…. That's YOU!

Guess what?? Shhhh, it's a secret… I found a new super-kawaii flash movie. It's even cuter than the doggie double-date… IF you're not scared of an evil bunny. Oops! That's all I can say for now. But I will put up the new movie next Friday on my web site!! If you watch it, let me know what you think!

Ok I'm going to go post a new journal entry now. If my boss Pika doesn't give me more work ::eyeroll eyeroll::

Talk to you soon~~~~~~~!!!

Appart from that, it's all good fun!

No Tuesday update. Crying or Very sad Looks like there'll be one on Friday, though.

Meanwhile, here's an article on the campaign.

MSN Found -email anyone?

Has anyone tried emailing any of these "MSN FOUND" characters? They sound as if they would be happy to write back. I would, but I can't think of anything at all to say to them, these are not the most inspiring characters I have ever run into. And, I am truly just tired of the whole fake blog idea. In very small doses it is an OK way to transmit information, but 6 blogs seems excessive.

I've tried e-mailing Cy about his experiment on human behavior to unexpected gifts and am waiting for a response.

I'll spoiler the next part so I don't ruin people's hunting.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Also I've come across that all 3 guys have a thing for Swing, and Reggie and her are on a "break".

Emailed Karen, looks like we have at least a little task. How it is considered "solved" I don't know, but I'm thinking of compliling everything we search for these characters (the "recommended" searches with the pictures). Looks like something isn't right with Cy or Swing, but then, those are the only two I mentioned.

Quote:
Hi Sarah,

Duckie! That's great. Between you and me (The Care Bear) we could be our own little zoo. Unlike psycho kitty we won't attack anyone though!

I'm so happy you liked the clip! I just posted a new one on my site. It's a video of a flying dog that is so blissed out, he clearly knows all the answer to life. If only we spoke doggie-ese, we would be so enlightened, I'm sure. Smile

Cy and his conspiracies... did you see what he was ranting about this morning? I'm a little worried about him to be honest. And speaking of Swing and her judo chops... well, something's not right there either. I'm digging around her search bar today trying to figure out exactly what went wrong at the audition so I can try to cheer her up. Maybe you can help me find out? (You make little smiley faces just like she does, so maybe you have a better chance of understanding than I do with my old-fashioned smiley faces! LOL.)

Thanks for writing. Smile

Karen,

I've been checking out your blog, as well as the blogs of all your friends.

You have NO IDEA how hard that Psycho Kitty made me laugh. I'm looking forward to new great videos!!! Have you found any new conspiracies for Cy yet? And did you find Swing's Haiku?

I'm kinda like swing, in that I go by something other than my real first name. You don't have to defeat me in Judo, though! You just have to ask.

My super-secret nickname? it's duckie!
Keep in touch Karen. I think you might love dogs as much as I love bees! (But I love dogs even more!!)

Sarah,
Duckie!

I already e-mailed Swing about making her feel better, and see if I can get a little more info out of her. I'm trying to gain her trust by telling her who the quote on her roses was by, Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Cy gave me a full confession on his sending the flowers to Swing, search Cy sending you a message.

Re: [UPDATE] 2/25

Dang, we need a Wiki or something to keep track of all this stuff. Confused

Shad0, is there anything really going on here, do you think? Or has the game just not caught a lot of players here in the forums?

I think it's fascinating, and my biggest concern is that the reason there has been no update is that they think no one's playing. The entire thing is one big puzzle, and there are some interesting stories going on as well.

For starters, you don't have to wait for things to pop up randomly in the search bar. Most entries lead to others; some even lead to entries from the other characters. Figuring out how to follow each story is a puzzle in itself. For example:

On 2/15/2005, Cy wrote:
Listening to: Muzak. Why they play lullabies to overnight security staff is beyond me. Makes you think they don't WANT you to stay awake and see what really goes on in this building at night.

Searching "Cy lullabies" leads to:

Cy wrote:
So this one night, I'm checking out the empty cubes up on thirty-three. The whole floor is filled with cubicles, like something out of the movie Brazil. We call it the rat's maze. I find this guy still sitting there, back to me, phone to his ear. Just sitting in this empty floor, leaning over, phone against his shoulder. I start thinking no one could sleep that way. Then I wonder, is he dead? Did I find a dead guy?

Searching "Cy dead guy" leads to:

Cy wrote:
I'm so creeped out for a moment I can't move. I can just imagine, maybe the guy is working and has a stroke. What if no one notices? Everyone goes about their work, and here in the maze is a dead guy. I'm waiting for him to snore or something. Finally, I say, 'Sir?' Nothing. 'Sir?' I say again and I touch his shoulder. Thank God it's warm and the guy jerks awake. He had no idea what time it was.

Finally, searching "Cy Muzak" leads to:

Cy wrote:
Reggie, you know, I joke about the muzak in this place, but I started wondering, maybe there is something in it. After a couple of hours, no matter how rested I am and how much coffee I drink, when I'm walking the halls I find I just zone. I'll be up on twenty-six and I won't remember walking the last six floors. Maybe I should send you a sample of this stuff, too.

A couple of updates later:

On 2/25/2005, Cy wrote:
Waiting for: Top-secret audio analysis from Reggie. He's going to tell me how exactly they're turning us Security Guards into Muzak zombies.

Searching "Cy audio" leads to:
Cy wrote:
I've finally figured it out. There's something in the Sullivan building muzak intentionally designed to make the security crew less vigilant. Makes us ZONE OUT. Hypno-muzak, I call it. So I went out today and put some noise canceling headphones on the plastic. Tonight I've been sharper than I have in a long time. Proof positive that THEY are up to something. Reggie, I'm going to send you some recordings of the hypno-muzak so you can check it out.

So check out Reggie's blog:

On 2/25/2005, Reggie wrote:
Recovering from: Total trance headache. All that audio research for Cy has me tripping, mon. But don't worry, Cy, I figured out exactly what you wanted to know.

Searching "Reggie total trance headache" leads to:

Reggie wrote:
I'll tell you, Cy, I've been breaking down the audio files you sent, and they do have some of the strangest feedback I've ever encountered. I ran it by a chum who runs an audio stock footage company. It took us two hours to figure out exactly where the feedback is coming from. No, mate, it's not aliens (as far as I can tell)… but it does sound like your building has a weird configuration that distorts the sound into a specific pitch. In a nutshell, Cy… your building is like a giant tuning fork.

So Cy isn't just a paranoid nutjob. You should see what he's found out about -- well, maybe you should search for yourself.

On 2/15/2005, Cy wrote:
Watching: 6 monitors, 4 front entrances, 1 side entrance, 8 elevators.

On 2/25/2005, Cy wrote:
Mood: No comment. The less those shady marketing guys on the 18th floor know about my brain, the better. They are dealing in mind control, people. Manipulating average folks like you and me through "Ubercommercials." And I'm collecting proof.

There are at least three good trailheads there. Mr. Green

And there's lots of other stuff, like Denise's dating history, and everyone's answers to her True questionnaire, and what really happened at Swing's audition, and whom Reggie used to date and whom he wants to date, and so on and so forth. Ought to be something interesting for everyone.

Right now I'm going nuts because I can't find Cy's cryptogram. Searching "Cy cryptography" -- almost everything listed under "Interests and Hobbies" is a trailhead -- leads to:

Cy wrote:
I don't have the math skills for the real thing, but in this day and age, it's as essential as being able to balance your checkbook. Not using encryption is like leaving your doors unlocked…. when you live in Cabrini Green. I'm working on a little code myself. I'll try it on you guys.

And I can't figure out where to go from there. I know it's around somewhere, though, because Swing's found it and can't solve it. Searching "Swing cryptography" leads to:

Swing wrote:
Cy! What does that MEAN? You're so mysterious. I love it… but I hate it! I have to know! How do I crack the code?

Anyone else found it yet?

I agree that this may very well need a Wiki... though searching is half the fun...

I think the reason its dying down might not only be that no one appears to be playing it here (I am... but no new emails Crying or Very sad )
But also because it has generated an enormously negative buzz. Try it for yourself... do your own search! of MSNfound... most of the links talk about how much they hate it.

So sad...
