I think he may have died a while ago, and I don't know how these papers run obits, or if they do at all.

well see if between us all we can keep one copy of each paper..
and depending on how big this game gets it might mean for many of us to meet us or something..

It couldn't hurt, but I'd be surprised to find anything related to that. Keep everyone updated, though.

That would be pretty sick, posting a fake obituary...

OK, time to show my ignorance. I'm totally blue sky-ing it here, but...
Sente told us in his/her email that the Cube was stolen on January 16, 2004. How about the idea that maybe we should be looking for articles from 2004, in the papers and on the dates listed in the video? I'm sure it's nothing, but I figured it was at least worth a mention.

Font size Has anyone else noticed that the font size seems to correspond to the nationality of the paper:
UK smallest type
US second
Australian third
Canadian largest
It seems to be regardless of date/sequence and length of each paper's name. What this means I have no idea. It could just be that I have been staring at the video too long. Ideas?

I just watched the video and I'm seeing the same variation in font sizes. Having the different font sizes does seem odd. I have no idea what it means though.

The weirdest thing is that it doesn't appear to be due to the update that just occured. Rather it seems that each paper's nationality has an assigned font size. One other thing I have noticed is that the first and last papers are national papers rather than city papers. Though this might have been mentioned before.

I recently found out about Perplex City and have seen the movie. Though, due to joining just a day or two ago, I had never seen the first movie to compare the updated one to. Can someone explain the modifications that were made to the movie?

The only difference that I know of is that in the original video there were several more blank black spaces. Now they've filled most of them in with more papers and dates. I didn't look at font sizes in the first so I can't say anything on whether that changed.

There is an explanation of the changes a few pages back...

they also changed the text so that everything was written in uppercase (the dates and the papers) , in the first version, some were uppercase, and some were lowercase.

Words spoken on blank screens (stressed words are bold):
"Shocking. It is as though"
"a feeling of Alienation "
"Researchers have, instead"
"On the other side of the curtain"
"Shocking. It is as though a feeling of alienation researchers have instead on the other side of the curtain."
Minus the word "instead" which could be an error:
"Shocking. It is as though a feeling of alienation researchers have on the other side of the curtain."
