I can grab a copy of USA today, if no one else does. Fortunately, they keep it right outside the building I work in Laughing

Same here... pass by it several times a day. I'll try to post a copy of anything I find.

on the first page, click on the handwritten Sente on the letter

EDIT: correct spelling

Alright, time for me to catch up on this game and dive right in! I'd honestly almost forgotten about it over the last month...

Correction: definitely Japan, or the like. Japanese symbols everywhere if you watch is carefully...
Besides, everyone is driving on the left side. That narrows it down Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, and maybe Singapore, Thailand, or Nepal.

I'd cross out Nepal and Thailand... Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau are definite possibilities. But I'm still leaning more towards Japan.

There's also an Epson logo in there. About 1/3 the way through, on top of a building to the left. Epson is based in Nagano, Japan. I'd say that were a pretty solid foundation as to where this was recorded.

Huh. I must have had an old cache of the site or something... It worked after I refreshed it. Thanks.

I am not sure why they would possibly have neon store signs in katakana (katakana being a strictly Japanese alphabet) in Singapore, Hong Kong, or Macau.

*looks out his window at the USA Today box where he always gets his USA today because it's completely and utterly free...* Me thinks I'll be picking up a copy tomorrow as well. Also, has anyone been translating the Japanese yet? Might be interesting to know exactly what is being driven past, especially when the camera focuses on certain things... hmm, mayhaps I'll just translate it.

Either way, yay.

The word "counterpart" was what struck me about the little speech....either they have been assigned counterparts to observe, or every one of them -has- a counter-part in our world/universe, on a cosmic sense, that they found.

I dont belive i've picked up on this so late, considering usually im camped on IRC Smile

Also maybe the overdub is the results of Sarah Covington's fake study to get more money for shoes. As described in 5957496696.cache. the title "Subject: Civilisation and Late Stage Urbanisation, A Phase 2 Consumer Transition" sounds like it would fit this overdub.

If only our respective universities supplied the other publications listed in the video... we'd be absolutely set! Rolling Eyes

Edit: Slapped the video into some editing software just to catch a frame by frame of it... didn't notice anything funny looking in the audio or video. Only real observation is that the black areas with no text last almost exactly as long as the black areas with text, so they are related that way. Whether or not we are supposed to fill in the blanks, I have no idea.

Also, played the audio backwards... nothing there.

Just some random spec, someone said that Taito is based in Japan. Do you know where it's located in Japan, the building I mean... Might be good just for, you know, future reference.

Fantastic stuff...all these months of waiting.

23rd Feb is my next diary date - we're relying on our American friends until then!
