You could also call it the "Fourth Wall" i belive this was orignaly a TV/Hollywood industry term, ussually used... Your braking the fourth wall... It was used in Family Guy in the "Reality TV" episode and is used in PVPonline in comics like in the early Panda Attack strips... But really Curtain will do just fine...
... and similar threads.
I'm kinda losing track as to what the hell all this has to do with the video.

it was mostly a joke some were soon before my post about the fourth wall someone said something about using curve instead of curtain i was tring to point out there are alot of things we can replace curtain with and we could argue thise as i did ... but that curtain was good enough... but then people to my OT comment about an OT comment and ran with it...

video words and newspaper ads? So my spec is that there might be some link between the words of the video and the newspaper ads. Like:

There are some strange coincidences, like 06- the shared history: the sofa thing is a student prank on the cambridge university [maybe?]. and there's the Dirk Gently link, too... Well, I might be totally wrong about this, but i thought it was worth a post.

That's a great idea!
I think thats really really interesting....but I can't work out what the hell it could mean. I think it adds an extra layer of complexity (perplexity) to the spec that I'm just not ready for, and certainly we'll have to wait to get the rest of the ads. I am sceptical though...why should bringing the perpetrators to justice be shocking?
Good thought, but I think that there would need to be a more concrete link, perhaps from a future ad to make me a believer

i'd be careful about confusing Out of Game with In-Game.... I doubt theres no intentional link to Cambridge uni pranks...

i think theres probably more sofa on stairs pranks than enough going on at uni...I personally go for the simple moving all the markers for the boards so they cant write transliteration and hieroglyphic up on them but I'm sure if we had a sofa i'd put it on the stairs ^^
Just seems like a really esay prank to play...

Has anyone started to wonder when the blank might be filled in for the newspaper before the 14th? I hope I don't rock up to work on Monday (the 14th) and find out that the blank ad appeared in my local paper on Saturday without me knowing about it.

Just checked the video again and it seemed to download again like it was something new. Couldn't see any differences though.

The file size hasn't changed, and from what I've seen of the codec the file size would go up if they changed the colour of a single pixel on one of the black screens, so nothing there.

as we know from previous happenings, the /tmp folder date update doesnt dictate that theres been a major site update....it could be anything from the PM updating a .htaccess file or doing a sync with a FTP tool...where cause the timestamps/filesize are slightly out it uploads a new version (happens to me all the time, cause the way Windows and Linux calcuatate file size is slightly diff, so it always looks smaller on the server than my PC.)
