anyone have an older copy of the video from before the latest update? I may be wrong but I don't remember it fading to white at the end.

About the fade to white: It's on the very last frame of the video, and could be an artifact accidentally left in there because of a hurry to edit. I've screencapped the frame in order to examine it more, but I doubt we'll find anything.

Marrec is probably right. For the record, I have three previous versions, which I'll check now.
...None of them go white at the end.

I only just noticed this, but the properties of the video have actually changed quite dramatically:
The file size has gone down, from 3.4MB to 2.8MB.
The dimensions have gone up, from 240 x 170 to 320 x 240.
The average frame rate is now 24.04fps, instead of 12.02fps.
The data rate is now 39.12KB per second, instead of 48.13KB per second.
The video and audio are now compressed with MPEG-4, rather than the previous "H.263" and "QDesign Music 2".
The audio is now 32000Hz, instead of 22050Hz.
The duration is now 01:13:10, was previously 01:10:19 (some of the black sections have been lengthened with the multiple screens of information).
As interesting as all this sounds, it's probably just because they found they could give us a higher quality video for a lower file size by using a different compressor. But it's open to speccing for anyone who want to make something of it.

I think its simply because MPEG-4 is better than their old compression format. (Which it is)

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too, that someone discovered they could make it better quality for less space using MPEG-4, then they made it a higher resolution because they were saving space.

It did seem to run alot faster this time. I thought that it was only in my player. I am no video expert but when the camera moves to the left, the people seem to be moving too fast. Anyone else see this when they watch it?

Also, the conversion to MPEG-4 -could- leave the gray frame artifact that we're all seeing. I've seen similar things when upgrading compression. I don't have time to check it out though, got class... I'll look into it when I return.

Well, abbey road (I mean the street) is a public road so anyone could go there and be recorded by the camera.
Anyway I love that place! That's where the Beatles recorded most of their albums and they took the famous photo on the "zebras", let's see if I can link an image, if not go to the url and you'll see one of the most beautiful cover ever done

Never say you are too old to learn - I have laboured under the misapprehension for 40 yrs that Abbey Road was in Liverpool....

It looks like some sections of the video, especially the one right after the webcam URL, have been sped up to make up for the lengthened blank sections.

Abbey Road studio [SPEC] I speculate that someone is meant to go there (Abbey Road studio) and ask for the person...
Worth a try if you live close by...
I think the reason they sent the url was to show us where to go...
I really think thats what its for.
I just thought I'd throw that out in the open.
If you live there let us know... someone should go there just in case.
