[INFO] The meaning of the word "Sente"

Hi there. I'm a n00b, so if this holds no merit, just brush it off.

I was talking to my friend Tony and... He introduced me to this site. And one of the first things I noticed was the word "Sente."

Now, I'm not bilingual by any means. I can speak a little French, basic Spanish, nothing too big.

But something struck me about the word/name.... It sounded familiar.

Tony told me that Sente was a name from the game "Go." But that wasn't why it was familiar to me.

After a quick search, I found out that Sente is a Portuguese phrase. The direction translation of it means, "It feels."

Not sure if this helps, or is a clue, or is just pointless. But there you have it.

Bah...

I'm trying. Sorry.

I did a search for "Sente" and "It feels" but nothing came up...

The only other thing I have is the possibility of "MC" being that person mentioned on the post card... Carrick.

I used "sente mean" as my search string and got:

this and this. The first is from your friend Tony.

No worries, though. Search strings are often hard to nail down around here. And the Portuguese angle is new, so this definitely holds merit.

Welcome aboard. Smile

On the other hand, there are QUITE a few other places where the meaning of "sente" is/was being discussed: here, here, and here, to name just A FEW, and that's not even mentioning any anagramming. I just think that if we start making new threads for each new meaning behind "sente", this forum is going to get cluttered beyond any manageability (is that a word?), if that's even possible - given how cluttered/busy it is already.
