And anyone else notice the continuity error - the letter on perplexcity.com has been up and telling us that the cube was stolen for ages before the date the email quotes - how did Sente know the cube was stolen before the 16th of Jan? Or do you think that maybe we should just ignore this?
EDIT: just altered my own email address in the header slightly so I don't get spammed

Which letter do you mean?
I know I'm new to this but the Wiki suggests that the earliest reference to a Project item was released on the 24th of Feb.

The letter on the main page on perplexcity.com has been up there since before I joined this forum back at the end of November. It's always said that "There is compelling evidence that an unknown party has taken the XXXXXX Cube and concealed it somewhere in your world."
Since Sente wrote the letter it follows that he knew the cube was missing for at least a month and a half (can't be bothered checking back for the exact date that the letter went up) before Jan 16th.
EDIT: Ack - I misread the email as Jan 16th 2005 not 2004 . Disregard my point - sorry for the confusion

Bah. My conspiracy theory brain is still turned on

I turned 31 on January 16, 2004, so there's that...

The German server (kundenserver.de) is my mail server.

This is all *way* too coincidental. I just spent a week putting together a Rubik's Cube simulator and solution-finder for an artificial intelligence class. I was pleased to put the wraps on it this week, and thought, "Well, that's done, now I won't have to deal with the blasted Rubik's Cube any more." And then I get this email.

I don't think this is of any significance, but I still wanted to bring this up:
I think I was one of the few people who e-mailed curious at projectsyzygy about a year ago when we first heard of it, and we all received this response:
Quote:
>Hello
>
>This is an autorespond to say thanks very much for your email and interest
>in PS.
>
>As promised we'll be back in touch on the eve of the launch (late 2004)
>and we'll be able to go into much greater detail then.
>
>Your early interest and patience will be rewarded.
>
>Yours enigmatically,
>
>The PS team
Obviously, the later autoresponders had the date changed to "early 2005".
Anyway, my question/doubt/inquiry is this: "As promised we'll be back in touch on the eve of the launch" - I don't think this e-mail from Sente (the one that is the subject of this thread) is it. Today's e-mail came to an address that I left on the perplexcity cite, which is different than the address that I e-mailed curious from. I haven't had any e-mails from Sente to that account yet, which sort of makes me wonder whether they are still planning on sending e-mails to those people on "the eve of launch." Or has that plan been scrapped (not that we'll ever know, I suppose)? Or did they just assume that anyone who e-mailed curious would re-sign-up at perplexcity, and they will now only e-mail those people?
Hm, I sound terribly incoherent. Need coffee...

I didn't get an email. Strange. Well, I've re-entered all my emails to perplexcity.com.
Weird. I'll check out that video.html now...

Oh, and someone with stegdetect do a steg on that image please...
Perhaps the dates and papers refer to website appearances. Also in the video that is significant is the number 4, that red shop... the city looked like Tokyo, but it may not be. Could anyone chip in and correct me? It might even be Perplex City.

Could your ISP spam filter be silently deleting it?
