 		well we're 12 minutes in and have seen the system for about 5 seconds now, with no real details. And the best game they could show off first was a golf one??!

Why did I expect better from MTV? You think I'd know better by now.

Also the Microsoft guy mentioned playing Halo, so it appears the system will be backwards compatible, unless he slipped up.

It's backwards compatible as long as you have the harddrive.

Ah, that was waay too quick...but it was greeaat! Wireless everything, did you all happen to notice no plugs to a power source or the tv? I didn't think that was possible! It has to have a battery pack or something right? Or am I just blind and missed those things? Perfect Dark looks great, Joanna is still the sexiest video game character ever, next to...umm no one.
No mention of Halo3 or anything Bungie, but the Live Marketplace screen had a Halo 2 logo on it something about 3 new maps or summat.
But tell me one of you guys caught the samsung commercial, that theme song sound a wee bit familiar to any of you guys? Hehehe, I'm giggling like Krystyn now!!! The xbox360.com site is up as well. You can see a 360 view of every part of the system, some flash thingy.
Ok so anyways, I thought this was shooting for 2006 christmas, but those titles look mroe like a '05 christmas that's beating Sony out by at least a year, damn! When M$ goes for something they really go, announcing three days earlier, releasing a year earlier, upping up all the system statistics, everything, they just pwned Sony I think. I'm no fanboy, but ouch.

 		Yeah, I was just talking to Clayfoot about it! Watercooled! It's probably the only way they found to avoid a brick-sized console again! lol

Did you guys noticed 50+ players on PD0?? Imagine Star Wars Battlefront or even Halo3! Should be awesome!

 		PD0 looks awesome, I used to play the crap out of the first one on N64. And 50 players? Oh man...

 		Stupid work. I missed the show on MTV, but I think I gleaned more info from those german article scans floating around. I think engadget.com has them by now.

So, a couple of things that sparked my interest/concern..

Ok, so what's up with the Halo 3 release for this year?!? Since Bungie has stated before that the next title they are working on is not Halo 3, then they must have been working on Halo 2 and 3 simultaniously (or they just out right lied to their fans). Didn't they see The Matrix 2 and 3 and figure out working like this produces crappy product? Smile


I've always been weary of wireless controllers. To me, wireless controllers I've used before always seem to have a noticeable lag when compared to wired controllers. I like the idea of not having to wory about cord length and getting them all tangled up, but having even just a fraction of a second lag is totally unexceptable. I hope the xbox guys have figured this out.


Overall it looks pretty slick. I'm surprised at how they crammed all those parts into that case because it looks a good deal smaller than the xbox 1. All I want to see now are some in-game videos...

Who already knows what they want for the holidays? Smile

I would try to compress it with DivX or XviD to bring the file size down. You can get decent quality with a 30 min show (22 min without commercials) at around 175 MB.

Torrenting it may be the best way to distribute for a lot of people, but we would need a tracker. I'm sure some xbox forum would love to host the file so you could go that route also.
