I'm guessing the spacing matters here. I had to edit this, for some reason it looses the spacing when I post...I just returned at each space.

sorry if this sounds kinda obvious (bit new to the whole code-cracking scene) but have been looking at the text and there's a few words that seem to suggest this sin't just a 'simple' substitution or ROT code:

(i.e. the fact that y=s AND v=s if you try to assign the letters to it seems to be a problem)

guessing all you arg veterans noticed that already, just thought i'd make sure. anyone got any progress on the numerical code? like i said, bit new to all this!

okay i've been reading up on the technique for decoding the message, and it seems to be simple enough to do once you have the key text. however, i've made no progress whatsoever in decoding that.

i did also try using 'naomi goldsman' as the keytext on the bezeries (spelling?) machine but that just came out as gibberish.

anybody any thoughts? i've run through a few things like ascii codes and letter/number substitution but haven't had any luck.

edit: in fact i've just found a website that has a decryption applet for all sorts of codes, so as soon as the keytext is worked out we're good to go!
