I love that they're continuing this story this way. I've been beta testing for the last few weeks (and have averaged about 2 hour of sleep a night in that time) and I'm loving the game so far. This is actually my first mmorpg, so I've got no baseline to compare it to, but it was cool enough to get me hooked.
If you want to find me online, I'm DiscipIe (Disciple was a reserved word so I had to make do). I'll most certainly be on on the 22nd, but i'll probably be out as soon as I'm asked to renew my subscription. I'm pretty well broke and the only reason I get to get on in the first place is because my brother-in-law wanted someone to play with Gotta love family!

I didn't know they were continuing the story ... All I know is that the first time I heard about a matrix MMORPG, the first thing I thought was how would they make a game that should have NPC's outnumbering the players by a huge margin!
But after talking with another friend of mine, I realized I'm just being picky about this game! There simply won't be an MMORPG based on a movie that will follow the story completely. Just look at Star Wars Galaxies! There are hundreds (if not thousands!) of Jedis wandering around and the game is set between EpIV and V ...

Enjoy your first mmorpg! It's an addictive type of game! Specially in the beggining, when you feel overwhelmed! There's a reason every mmorpg player will tell you that 10-15 bucks/month is actually a good deal, considering the time you spent playing! And that's the main problem with mmorpgs. Not the money, but the time it sucks out of you!

I just found out my graphics card lacks a programmable shader, and I use a laptop so I can't really upgrade it easily.
Looks like i'll be waiting a while to jack in...

I'm a Radio Free Zion addict. I spend too much time playing MxO or listening to RFZ, and I go clubbing every other night in between kicking Exile rear.
You'll see me on the 22nd, if you haven't seen me jacked in already.
And, of course, the standard plug:

Those of you who are really into the puzzle solving aspects of the ARGs will definitely want to check out the Matrix faction "Furious Angels." This faction is reserved for those patient enough and talented enough to solve a series of riddles to gain an access code to score an interview for the faction. I can't even get to the riddles, but I'm sure some of you will have it in no time Best of luck. Feel free to look me up when you jack in.

The Beta was more than enough to turn me off from it.
It's a shame, because I like the idea and the setting, but the game was just terrible.

How long ago did you stop playing the beta? It was pretty rough when I first started playing it, but they've made some dramatic improvements in the last month or so.

I tried again a few weeks ago. Just not really all that fun.
Would have been great 4 years ago, but MMOs have evolved.

I must say that I was a bit disappointed too. I couldn't really find anything to actually *do*. I felt like I was missing something major. Maybe I didn't play enough - I only got into beta about 2 weeks before it ended.
I'm tempted to buy it and play, if only to see the movie clips, but probably won't right now.

If you're into the Matrix storyline, I'd highly recommend either checking this one out, or trying to keep up with the chat on the games forums. Here's a little bit of what's developed, for those that are curious as to just how deep this is going to get.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Morpheus seems to have upset the fragile truce between the redpills and the machines. As a result, several people on both sides wanted him stopped. Morpheus is dead. Commander Locke appears to be the one who set him up.
The above information was included in a letter retrieved during one of the beta missions. If this is what has developed before the actual release, just imagine where it will go in the coming months

My PC parts are waiting for me to put them together at my house.
Expect me to jack in this evening.
As for the Furious Angels, I am on riddle 4 of the alleged 5 part test.
Good stuff.
