Obviously this ad is a vehicle to attract new players, while sending the "veterans" a message, this is nothing new, you've seen it before and know what it is.

Does anyone get the feeling that the PM's are trying to tell us that we're off the track with some of the things we've been thinking with this Trout message?

definitely possible. If the ads are just vehincles for attracting attention, maybe there's a message in the video we still haven't determined.

I don't think that we are heading off of the right track, perhaps we aren't looking at some things close enough...

I'm bored out of my gourd and just want the game to start....and I'm tired of getting pumped up for naught, starting to feel like one of those donkeys with the carrot on a stick.....

.....and I'm getting mighty hungry. Wink

Patience may be a virtue, unfortunately I don't possess an ounce of it.

Hey look at the bright side, maybe your boss will think you're quite an industrious little beaver, and give you a promo/raise.

Wink

I have to agree that this all seems like promotional stuff...maybe not, if someone finds a real message in the postcard or video, but it does seem unlikely.

...however, if this is all the promotion, I can't wait to see what the real game is like. Very Happy

That's officially the last thing i ever would have expected it to be. what in the world are they trying to tell us? why is 'perplex' in bold? Can someone get a print edition?

I'll try and offer answers to my own questions:
As someone else said, it's a sign to avid gamers we shouldn't bother chasing down more info fFrom it. We already know what there is to know.

Perplex is in bold because, recall, the previous classified ad had the perlplex typo, so they want to emphasize the correct spelling.

A nice scan of the print edition would still be nice. Someone?

Question: Why would the PM's give us a video stating the dates of the newspapers if all the advertisements were going to be just pointers back to the perplexcity site?

I think it serves both the board-ers and people out of the game that might have seen the print ad. I.e., someone who spots it in print and finds the video realizes that it's part of a significantly larger project, and might be inclined to stick around to see what happens next. And for those of us watching already, well...they have included messages that are targeted at people in-the-know (the mention of hackers, the trout).

So in summation...I think the image of the carrot dangling in front of us is quite apt, here. Laughing
