I figure Anony isn't real. As said in-chat, it's not uncommon for abused children to create aliases that are comforting, are there when needed, and are capable of doing things the child herself cannot -- in this case, Jump Rope (or anything active), visit friends without a computer, and possibly rebel against her abuser/parent.

Plus, the fact that she refuses a nickname (it would limit her) means she might not have any given name at all now -- since I suspect Syn isn't capable of lying to us, the lack of name might just be Syn's way of dodging the "who is she" question so that we don't cop on it's still Syn.

Children think that tricks like that work. Smile

Additionally, Syn doesn't "understand" webpages, but leaves clues for us anyhow, clues that draw directly from our conversations. Having Anony around gives her someone who can draw from her memory, and still leave us clues.

I think I agree with the imaginary friend thing, but there is still a possibility this 'Anony' is real and maybe even exactly like Syn. I'm guessing she will crop up later and we'll get more evidence.
