i thought this has been discussed before - although a long long time ago Smile

anyhow, if you go to http://www.thebazookas.com, you will not find any link leading to the gig review where jon is mentioned. the link to the in-game page can only be found in the cache.

Just to clarify, we are searching for any messages jon may have left regarding his contract and not Jon himself right? Because if you want to find him, i suggest you start with Hell.
www.helpmefindjon.com would be better called www.helpmekilljon.com

Can anyone with experience in the type of program that runs the symbols puzzle tell me whether a 0 at the start of a number would be important?
For example 01 02 03 05 08 13 instead of 1 2 3 5 8 13, as im not sure how programs like this work. I only say this because some birthday entry program "thingummys" wont except my birthday the 1st of december without
01, not just 1.

Bazookas

We have quite a few clips of jons voice. Perhaps it would be worth the time to try and construct a message from those clips and play that message on the bazookas answering machine. ... They did say 'Didnt sound like Jon'

Perhaps they want to hear jon before they provide more to us.

Just a thought.

it's funny how lots of 'new' people are suddenly joining the forum and pointing things out. I would have thought it would take someone ages to catch up on the game and be able to make sensible suggestions! maybe they've been lurking? Maybe they've come to help cos they know something we don't? Maybe i'm just being paranoid?

Did a search real quick and didn't see this anywhere. I'm just letting you guys know that S+S's in-game site, thehidingroom, was linkified over at MilkandCookies.com a little while ago. This most likely accounts for all your new-people-noticing. (ie. me) Not sure exactly how many people check m&c's games section on a regular basis, but it's probably quite a few. Once you weed out the people too thick to realize the game goes beyond the point-and-click flash site, and the people who do realize it but aren't into thinking, there ya go.

I know this isn't really of any direct help (and neither am i) to the current puzzle, but it definitely explains a mild anomaly(sp) that would otherwise make players (ie. you) unduly suspicious.

To further this problem of people attraction - when i first discovered the game a week ago (via m&c), i was working a computer lab shift. I'd used the back of a magazine to take notes as i went. By the time my shift ended, i'd completely filled the page with numbers, sites, locations, and fragmentary specs. All content, no context. I left it.

Every time I go into that lab now, I see a new labbie with my note page at his/her side. I think I may have accidentally reseeded the game.
heh.

Again, my apologies for hijacking. It just seemed weird posting this in a new thread when the quote was in this one. Sorry. (please don't kill me)
