[Interaction] Chat in #Synagoga with Eccleastia (3-02)

Today Eccleastia had been chatting to people on AIM. Rather than start up an AIM chat like Synagoga, she decided to reveal that SHE'S BEEN WATCHING US THE WHOLE TIME... (like we expected any less).

Here is a log of the events that occured in IRC just before and somewhat after Eccleastia revealed herself.

This began around 3:40 PM MST.

So, let's consider. I'd totally forgotten about this evil deed of hers. No one else knows about it? Not even Mr. Devil Man? That's weird, because I'd have thought it would be something intimately connected with the project (which I'm not saying it's not, just that it's weird for no one else to know). If I'm remembering correctly, she's said in the past that this deed was something that she'd done to Wiskers. And I'm guessing it's not the trying-to-kill-her stuff because a) that just happened recently, and b) lots of people know about that. What could she have done? The only thing I can think of at the moment is that maybe she did something to the original personality of the girl that Wiskers used to be. Maybe she erased some stuff? That's baseless spec that I like the sound of, nothing more.

"How long will it take you to lose it all?" That sounds very karma-y, the consequences of her actions catching up to her, but I would wager that karma isn't a big part of Clea's worldview. Still, it appears that she's already lost a lot - her mental stability and privacy, her job (sort of), her confident beliefs. She could be talking about losing it as in losing one's mind, which she does in fact seem to be doing, with the help of the friendly never-off chip. How does this sort of thing work in Christianity? I didn't think that, if you commit a sin, God punishes you in this lifetime. Isn't it more along the lines of "no repent = eternal damnation?" Or is that only in certain denominations? I can't get my mind out of the "karma" groove on this, so does anyone see what else she could mean by that?

I've been thinking about this too. I'm speculating that, given her religious nature, it has more to do with temporal punishment and purgatory. According to what I've read in the last half a day (I'm not an expert in theology), the punishment for a "mortal sin" is "all eternity" which ends with the final judgement.

I don't know enough about all this to really be able to interperate it.
