[META] Teams?

Just a thought on the Sentinel. Should we devide up into teams to attack the pages individually? For example: Anagramers, Code combers, Researchers etc.

Anagramers could start the long process of Anagraming any proper name be it person or other entity.

Code combers could scour the code of the pages for errors, inconsistancies and hidden messages.

Researches could surf through the web looking for things like blogs and websites based on the information brought by the other teams.

Or, on the other hand, we could team up by page.

Edit: Topic and moved - Wishi-san

Dont know if it will work! Will people be happy in a "Team" will the work get done, If left to people? Nice idea though, lots of work done in little time!

Sounds like a very good idea, little more organized than right now.

Or we could work as a collective on it all. The essence of an ARG is after all working as a collaborative whole (300 brains are better than one). Some people may be better at certain areas than other, some may be able to help in lots of areas, so there's no point trying to divide into teams.

Everyone can just play together, and solve things as they come along, there's no need to specialise.

must admit i don't like the idea of that either. being in a team sounds like each person would be assigned a certain amount of work to be done in a given time, and if they didn't meet these 'targets' then the team leader would come down on them like a ton of bricks. Sounds waaayyy to much like being at work if you asked me.

Of course, if some people would prefer to work as a team thats fine, as long as they are still prepared to share their findings with the rest of the community.

ERRRRRR NO

i dont think it would be a good idea because we have people from all over the world playing this ARG. It would be difficult to assign jobs for individual people and keep a check on them. I believe that we should all work together and get it solved alot quicker....

I'm already on a team. It's called the #syzygy team. I'll stick with them.

(I agree with Wishi-San)

If people wanted to play 'teams,' that would require some serious collaberative effort, independent of what we do here. I read that, and thought "Someone's going to need eGroupware or something, just to keep track of who's doing what."

As stated, most of our collaberative effor seems to be on the #IRC channel for real-time comm, and the forums for non-real-time. Why mess with it? Smile

You of course are assuming that 1) the postcard number is a puzzle, and 2) that we are supposed to have solved it at this point in the game. IMO the postcard number thing is completely out of line with what content the PMs have thrown our way so far and if it is a puzzle, it will be one the PMs will give us to "tools" to solve later.

IMHO, this is a "feed forward" plant. I.e. sow the seed early as a teaser to get the feeding frenzy going. But its a key to a lock that hasn't been shown yet.

Unless, its a key to unlocking the Sentinel, which is a fair probability and we just haven't figgured it out yet. Evil or Very Mad
