You followed the challenge page to the entry form for Chimerastil. If you look at the link which got you there, you might notice that it goes to a new IP address rather than the one we've been using for vagabond's sojourn. Now view the source of that page. There is a new domain name in the comments to go with the new IP address, probably because they were having DNS issues over the weekend.

Oh, ok...du'h I didn't even think of looking in the source there. Has anyone submitted anything yet? I tried to but it told me "Bad referer" Confused
Tj-
Ok so here are the laymen terms for the two sites that we can get into.
Restoral- Restore
Frieze- small band horazantle around the walls of a room, or a type of carpet.
Then Sopheclean is referring to sophocles which means Sopho- Wise and Kles- glorious or famous
So Sophoclean Liar would be a wise and famour liar, pretty simple, but the web page is a picture of a van with photoshopped bullet holes and of the A team fan club sticker.
Then Restoral Frieze is a bunch of pics of Sinatra, I can't really connect either of these to a password or user name, other then obvious things like Sinatra and Van... Razz

could the bullet holes on sophocleanliar be braille? They seem to have a slight pattern in relation to each other.

quick note

Sopheclean liar may refer to a character in his plays which could be any of a few including: Orestes, who pretends to be dead when he isn't, Ajax, who pretends to be going on a safe trip when in fact he intends to die, and Oedipus, who may not technically have been a liar as much as a victim, though his family was a problem. Just some ideas.

It is in braille but all the dots are reversed as if in a rearview mirror.

Not sure what to do with it though. I can't believe I got one...albeit one that goes nowhere that I can see. A red herring?

Wow, I go away for a few days and the game zips forward...I'll have to keep a closer eye on it now. Rapid updates.

Okay, trying to catch up: for the Astrostole website, do we know what the ID and password are supposed to be? Do you get them when you register with Chimerastil?

When I read Mutagenic Norma heading I immediately thought of two names related to pop culture (as much of these puzzles seem to be)...

Jean Grey (X-men mutant) and Norma Jean [Mortesen] (Marilyn Monroe)...mutagenic norma = Norma Jean Grey?

I've tried combinations of parts of these names but I may be missing something so if interested try on your own.

More likely I'm completely on the wrong track.

following the post above with comic books/cartoons the section named joeschiller - J.I. Joe had a charecter named Frostbite, his thing was to put people in a deep freeeze

and also a couple of band names have came to my head, the first is Chimeria (a metal band)
and the second is Norma Jean, (no not Marilyn, a current metal band)

Is there any chance of anyone listing all the sites involved with this so far?
I go away for a day and I come back to stack of new sites being discovered.

Subject: Your application is under review

Please be patient as we review your application.
Help from volunteers such as yourselves is most
appreciated. Our goals are two-fold: to assist
those who are currently afflicted by nightmares
they cannot control or escape, and to learn more
about the mental and physiological processes that
create these terrifying illusions.

Associates of ours have developed Chimerastil
through years of research into the psychosomatic
relationship between the unconscious mind and the
body in it's dream state. That state, characterized
by the presence of theta brainwaves, can lead to
such phenomena as Lucid Dreaming.

Despite what you might hear from movies such as
the Matrix and eXistenZ, we believe that normal
people have the innate ability to distinguish
reality from fantasy, while victims of this
condition do not. Their minds don't seem to have
the same defense against these unreal dangers;
dreams about falling that wake a typical dreamer
before they hit the bottom can bring trauma
and pain for these unfortunate individuals.

Situations vary, but some poor souls can even find
themselves helpless at the mercy of their darkest
subconscious thoughts. Waiting for a traditional
cure could take years of specialized therapy and
medication. Hopeful at the chance of a
breakthrough, we believe that those poor individuals
may yet have a chance at a normal life thanks to
Chimerastil.

We believe there may even be a link between this
condition and extrasensory perception. Can those
afflicted by this condition find themselves unable
to ignore "unreal" data and therefore perceive
information that most others cannot?

Free your mind of doubts; as participants, you may be
required to meet special criteria to advance through
the study. Them we find who may help shall be contacted
shortly to help with our groundbreaking work.

Turns out that George Peppard was in the episode "The PI" on Matlock. That may not be what they had in mind but it does fit the question.

It's in George Peppard's IMDB listing. I even followed it to TV Tome to check out the synopsis for that episode.
