Wow Mima! Maybe - huh!

I thought that it was just a common domain tactic - combining two words Sent + Email = "sentemail", but check out the WHOIS record! IT shows an address on Academy Drive!

It was originally registered in Septemeber of 2003, and recently changed. VERY INTERESTING IMHO!:

404ed when I looked but I think the 'Sent email' spec is right. Plus it was registered Sept 2003 through a different host to the usual one - 1 & 1 instead of godaddy.

Also, Academy drive is just some residential street in Gillingham in Kent - no academy nearby so I assume the planners just thought it sounded good (there's also a Yeoman Dr. and a Heritage Dr. just round the corner).

I saw a thread where someone had enetered al of the names of Academy people and got no errors at all. The "action=" attribute points to a cgi program that likely parses out all self-refrencing email addresses that do not initiate from the server's own domain. The webpage could use JavaScript to verify your submission, but it is not that way as of this writing.

Howdy.

All sent in character. No replies. Most likely that the PMs hate me. Er... w00t.

I tried sending one to invite him to a movie on Friday. After all....maybe that's personal?

I regret that I am unable to individually reply to mail sent to my public box. If your email is of an urgent or personal nature, I will reply shortly. Otherwise, I shall read your message in due time, and I beg your patience.

Sente

In the first sentance of that paragraph of the autoresponder it talk about a public box. Maybe we should try locating his private box. Sending an email to SenteSPLATperplexcity.com may be like trying to email BillGatesSPLATmicrosoft.com

The idea of a separate box for Sente has already been mentioned, but no one has realy seemed to focus on it.

The only one I've tried is SenteprivateboxSPLATperplexcity.com (sent in character) and I've gotta get to class now. But maybe someone else has more time to try some others.

OK, OK, I've gone and let my smart-ass streak get the better of me - just sent an email, in character, with the subject line 'PERSONAL and URGENT! - Bigg3r pe/\/i5 or brea5ts /\/0w - make h1m or h3r say \/\/ow!'

I did mention The Cube in there in the first sentence, but after that, well, I think you can guess Wink

So far only the autoresponse but I'm sure the detailed reply will be waiting for me when I check my inbox again this evening........

hidden url in sig?

Okay, i'm new here. So first of all Hi to everyone. I've been reading all the posts so far and have caught up on the lastest snippets from the global newspapers. I'm ashamed to say that I only looked for the first couple of ads then have been using this forum to keep up to date with them since then. But I think I might be on to my first spec with the signature on the bottom of the Auto Response email from senteSPLATperplexcity.com. It just struck me odd that the initial letters of the first 3 words of the quote are WWW "When We Were..." I can't really get any further than that, but hopefully someone here might be able to assist in this.

Cheers,

Rob

I like the idea alot. Are there three of these websites then . . .

when we were
children, how we longed for the days

when we would
be grown. Yet now, see us here, gazing mournfully into our cups and wishing for the days

when we were
still free of the cares of the world

It could just be poetic because it's, well, poetic.[/b]

That's too much of a coincidence for me.
