Well they are losing players already. Personally, I have lost any interest in this. I'm having a great time with Synagoga/WI, and checking S&S for updates that never come is plainly frustrating. So, farewell Stella guys, I'm gonna drink wine from now on. Wink

Or it could just be that we have all that we need yet we're not *clever* enough to figure it out.

Don't assume there'll be more. For £10,000 it shouldn't be an easy solve.

Nothing would put me off my stella anyway!

I'm still keeping an eye on this, just going back through all the info and all the related sites to see if there is anything else or if anything has changed but it all seems to be the same.

Still no closer to finding the solution either, but after playing this thing for months I'm not gonna give up on it that easy.

though i don't post much anymore, i'm not giving up either,
but my philosophy is, only post when u have something usefull to say
(ok this post is an exception)
because, i don't see much use in keeping posting that its boring, or slow or difficult, that doesn't help anyone anything

cheers

if you read the thread "[PUZZLE] The S&S symbols puzzle", this deals with the symbols and what they mean. this was the original thread where we discussed the puzzle until it got trolled.

I sent the following e-mail to the PM's via the Marlowe Digital site.
I did it because I think it would be very nice to know the game is not dead.

"Hello there,
This is a message aimed for the puppet masters of the 'sable and shuck' game.
I've been following the game for about 6 months now, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. the design, the twists in the plot, the scope of media formats are all astounding, and all-in-all this has proven to be a very tricky yet popular ARG.
I just wanted to to let the PM's know that recently the general consensus on the pace of the game is that it has lost most, if not all of its momentum. There are various chat rooms and message boards dedicated to this game, all of which are filling up with complaints about the game's speed.
Understandably it takes time to plan the next puzzle, and revealing clues is only done once all game elements are in place... but as a gaming community I think it's fair to say that everyone is now totally and utterly stuck. A stand-still has been reached, and people are slowly losing patience. Maybe the game is designed to be like this... maybe the '6 symbol puzzle' is designed to be very very hard so that only one person can crack it... or maybe we are all too stupid and just can't do it.
I suppose the purpose of this e-mail is just to check with the PM's on the status of the game...with the following questions...

1) Is this (the 6 symbol puzzle) the last puzzle, and if so have we got all the clues?
2) If we are yet to receive a clue, is there any way of letting us know soon?
3) Have we already reached the end of the game?

A reply to any or all of these questions would be appreciated...
if only to appease the growing boredom that is appearing on the forums

Yours,
Meak "

Good luck, Meak.
I sent a very similar email (also through Marlowe) about a week and a half ago... without any type of response. I wonder what's really going on over there...

I'm not gonna pretend to know what I'm talking about because I've only been with this game for a month or so, but I really don't think that they would screw up like this. The answer has to be out there. It's hard, yes, but not out of our capabilities. I honestly don't know how things work so I don't kow if the creators of the game are actually going to respond, but if they don't I think that we should keep trying. It's like a myst game, even when things seem hopeless, the answer is right under our noses, we just gotta keep out heads out of the clouds. That was my motivational speech. Please don't get angry at me for being a newb.

i think we all basically get the feeling that the pms werent so interested in this game as we were, because of the way the game went, all the massive gaps while waiting for updates etc. so thats why the spec on whether this game is solveable(/abandoned by the pms??)! lol
