You're all welcome (which I can say with total impunity since I'm not going myself Wink )

And yes, aside from mixing up central and mountain time TheBruce is spot on with times.

time is an illusion

lunch time doubly so

speaking of time, please spare a brief moment to commiserate with the antipodeans. In New Zealand (where I am) it will be 1 am when this starts to go down.
(Not quite so bad for the Australians where it will be a more friendly 11 pm)

Just so you guy's know.. 11pm on Friday was a while ago for us (it's currently 1:00pm Saturday Sydney time as I type this and 02:00am Saturday GMT). It's happening here in Sydney Australia at:

(Saturday Night - Sunday Morning) Sunday 00:00 - 01:00am

The time should be the same for QLD and Vic (I think they have day light savings the same as us). I am not sure if W.A is using daylight saving's.. if not they are around 3 hours behind so it's around 9pm Saturday for those lucky buggers =P

Although I'll be watching from the comfort of home, I do envy all those who will be there on the ground. It's going to be great fun.

One thought I did have was that although the clue says to "ask for Dinah", which suggests you are looking for her, you might want to keep an open mind. Alice was looking for Dinah, but it was actually the white rabbit that led her to the rabbit hole. Now, I don't know how that could help, except that Dinah might actually be aimed at distracting us from the real clue.

Anyway, we'll soon see. Be sure to wave out to all us armchair-explorers.

Why do we think Dinah is a person again? Weren't we told to find Alice and it turned out to be a book in the library?

We aren't supposed to look for Dinah, we're suppoded to ask for Dinah. The mental image this gives us is of finding a person. Personally, I think it will be a cat, but cats are people too!

No, it's 11pm Saturday. You're going backwards, we're ahead of you, not the other way around.

For all the Australians and New Zealanders out there who are confused by the incorrect posts in this thread, here's a complete list (and damn daylight savings time makes this list longer than it would usually be - we really only have 3 time zones, but some states don't do DST):

Western Australia: 8pm
Northern Territory: 9:30pm
Queensland: 10pm
South Australia: 10:30pm
NSW, ACT, Victoria, Tasmania: 11pm
(all Saturday)

New Zealand: 1am Sunday - that's before you change your clocks back... like I said, damn DST...

I've always thought australia had the oddest timezones. is there a good reason someone knows fFor the 30-minute difference in the middle section? (northern territory and southern australia)

Sometimes i think china has the right idea. pick a timezone and go with it.

Half the world is GMT +, half is GMT-. That's the key thing to remember here.

man every arg has some kind of unique topic people learn about Razz
who'da guessed one event happening in London would trigger a question & answer period about the world's timezones Smile
but yeah, I wasn't sure if GMT was the start of the 24 hour day, or if it was the halfway point... so apparently the point between GMT+12 and GMT-12 is where the weekday changes... which makes sense anyway. I'm just not thinking Confused

well at least now to figure out if I should sleep for 6 hours and risk sleeping through the 7am event or stay up and sleep after the event is done...

I bet it won't be anything too big anyway. since there's still the guardian coming up, this is most likely just another fragment to be found... it's how it will be found that's the must-see mystery... Confused
