Dammit dammit dammit. Why did I actually have to do work while I was at work today? I work right by the Fulton Street Station. In fact I grabbed the phone at that very same library a couple times during ILB. Think there'll be a postcard left come Monday? I can't get down there this weekend.

Did anyone catch where the postcards were positioned within the books? Maybe they were page markers? Or were they just inside the cover?

Dammit, I'm not going to be able to get into the city till Sunday, and the library is closed. So close, and yet so far. Sad

I plan on never picking up a copy of Alice in Wonderland ever again after studying it for A Level english. Makes it hard to read without super over analysing Rolling Eyes

Change the World - bring back literacy, inquisitiveness and the will to help each other out in a planet-wide effort to solve a problem.

That does it for me!

Hey all--

So had to go to work after I stopped in the library, but I did stop in. Found the copy with the card in it, and the random Celebrex post-its that were referenced earlier. My guess is they will have nothing to do with anything, but I still copied down locations and what they were marking just so we have reference if it does become important.

I didn't have a camera, and the computers were taken (they don't have scanners anyway)

Alice in Wonderland, A Norton Critical Edition, Second Edition, 1992

-Perplex City Post card inside front of book (not marking anything)

Post-It locations:

-p 117 Woodcutting of Jabberwocky
-p 116 is the first stanza of that poem in mirror-image, and then in plain english

p141 The Walrus and The Carpenter (woodcutting and poem [poem begins on p 140]

p166- Humpty-Dumpty verse

p187 - Knight a sitting-on-a-gate" poem

p209 - the poem that ends the story... "A boat, beneath a sunny sky

finally p 213- the addendum of "The Wasp in a Wig" the Wasps poem

Honestly, feel free to remove this post. I don't think this has any relevence, but figured may as well document it before some HS student checked the book out for class. If it were relevent I would expect the same post its that was on the postcard and not some random Celebrex medical post its.

while some of the celebrex post-its wind up on interesting pages, i have to agree that i don't think it's involved... from what i recall, none of the other copies of the book had celebrex post-its, just the one... however, the postcard was placed in different locations in each book i think... one postcard was in the front, another was in the middle somewhere, though i didn't write that location down Sad

has anyone simply considered that this reference to Alice and Dinah is simply telling us this is the rabbithole? Just an extended rabbithole, introduction into the arg? just a thought...

I don't think it's even so much as telling us it's a rabbithole. Especially since the ads seem so much more like rabbitholes, in that they're what are actually drawing people in. I think it's just an in-joke. You can't have an ARG without a couple of Alice references.

...that's a rabbithole Wink considering so many people still think the real game hasn't started yet, because all of these 'mini rabbitholes' are pointing to the same thing. The only thing that really isn't classic 'rabbithole', will be the final press release pieced together from all the ads... everything else, so far, has been solely to bring people in, get people interested... we've got no real meat yet. IMO, it's still winding up (in the beginning way, not the ending way Razz)
*shrug* guess it depends on what you consider a 'rabbit hole'
