here, i'll start with my notes, and let people fill in more details. From the Persistence message board, we are introduced to some characters.

After the BB admin, the first 7 to join are the 7 directory names on the Astrostole website:
MutagenicNorma (posts helpful tips in code)
icess (a zombie with crayons)
restoralfrieze (forum moderator)(likes Sinatra)
healdarwinism (cranky old man?)
joeschiller (plays video games)(heard from old friend)(the kid)
sophocleanliar (plays video games)(likes the A-Team)
manacledhead (says he's new here)

Another member joined a week later, just before we arrived:
vagabond, related to the VagabondsSojourn site that began the trail.

And finally, there are character names mentioned in the encrypted posts:
eliza (addressed as a fellow member of the BB?)
cassandra
scott

restoralfrieze - Eliza Forester
restoralfrieze is obviously their 'leader'. Eliza led the SS. Anagrams with extra letter 'R'

joeschiller - Josh Celleri
joeschiller mentions 'hearing from an old friend' after Kitten and I contacted Josh. Anagrams perfectly.

icess - Jessica
Icess has not posted yet and there are no childish posts on the forum yet. manacledhead posted:

Poor girl lost her twin. Jessica anagrams to Icess with extra letters 'JA'. We never got her last name.

Anagrams perfectly.

healdarwinism - Sandra Wilheim
Anagrams perfectly. healdarwinism's post match what we know of Sandra. She is the most afraid of being captured and is 'poetic'. She could also hear Cassandra (her best friend)'s screams.

sophocleanliar - Charles Poliano
Anagrams perfectly. He didn't really want to be in a 'cult'.

EDIT: Also, if anyone contacts any of them, avoid using their real names unless you encode your message first. The SIC is trying to set Cassandra to flag things like their names.
