[Chat] Synagoga 12-MAR-05, Birthday Chat set for 5:00 PST

Quote:
SlvrThistle (4:08:31 AM): Hi Syn
Synagoga1 (4:08:36 AM): Hello!
Synagoga1 (4:09:04 AM): How are you!
SlvrThistle (4:09:16 AM): I'm fine.
SlvrThistle (4:09:23 AM): We've missed you
Synagoga1 (4:09:53 AM): I missed you too!
Synagoga1 (4:10:14 AM): They made me sleep alot.
SlvrThistle (4:10:24 AM): Awww
SlvrThistle (4:10:48 AM): Did they want you to do anything else?
Synagoga1 (4:11:13 AM): They wanted to test me alot.
Synagoga1 (4:11:15 AM): It wasn't fun!
SlvrThistle (4:11:41 AM): Awww, what kind of tests?
Synagoga1 (4:11:45 AM): More buttons.
SlvrThistle (4:11:56 AM): Sad
Synagoga1 (4:12:20 AM): They made me dodge and duck.
Synagoga1 (4:12:44 AM): And I got tired....
Synagoga1 (4:13:45 AM): It's all I do anymore... push buttons...
Synagoga1 (4:13:49 AM): And I never know why!
SlvrThistle (4:14:10 AM): Can you see what the buttons do?
Synagoga1 (4:16:14 AM): No...
Synagoga1 (4:16:32 AM): I never know...
Synagoga1 (4:16:35 AM): Should I push them?
SlvrThistle (4:16:47 AM): Hm...
SlvrThistle (4:17:04 AM): Well, if you don't know what they do...
SlvrThistle (4:17:40 AM): They could be doing anything
Synagoga1 (4:18:09 AM): They could be.
Synagoga1 (4:18:27 AM): But they are so pretty...
Synagoga1 (4:18:33 AM): That's the only reason I do it...
SlvrThistle (4:19:16 AM): What will happen if you don't?
Synagoga1 (4:19:59 AM): They hurt me...
SlvrThistle (4:20:21 AM): We don't want you to get hurt, Syn.
Synagoga1 (4:21:09 AM): I'll keep doing it then...
Synagoga1 (4:21:28 AM): Buttons, buttons, buttons, buttons!
Synagoga1 (4:21:32 AM): I should make a song about buttons!
SlvrThistle (4:21:41 AM): lol
Synagoga1 (4:23:18 AM): Ok... I just pushed the blue one again with the red one...
Synagoga1 (4:23:21 AM): What color do you like?
SlvrThistle (4:23:32 AM): I like all colors
SlvrThistle (4:23:52 AM): But certain colors go better with certain things
SlvrThistle (4:24:36 AM): I guess one of my favorite colors is silver
Synagoga1 (4:24:44 AM): Ok!
Synagoga1 (4:24:52 AM): There, I pressed the silver one for you!
SlvrThistle (4:25:40 AM): Syn... is there any way for you to see what the buttons are doing? In a vision?
Synagoga1 (4:26:26 AM): I don't know.
SlvrThistle (4:27:34 AM): You should try to find out before you press any more.
Synagoga1 (4:27:45 AM): Ok!
SlvrThistle (4:28:03 AM): But if they want to hurt you, for now, press the buttons if you have to.
Synagoga1 (4:28:14 AM): Ok!
SlvrThistle (4:28:19 AM): It's just the buttons could be doing anything.
Synagoga1 (4:28:23 AM): I don't like it when they hurt me.
SlvrThistle (4:28:28 AM): We don't like it either.
Synagoga1 (4:29:05 AM): They aren't here now though.
Synagoga1 (4:29:07 AM): That's good.
SlvrThistle (4:29:20 AM): Good Smile
Synagoga1 (4:29:31 AM): Ohhhhh!
Synagoga1 (4:29:36 AM): My friend is here!
Synagoga1 (4:29:44 AM): Yay!
Synagoga1 (4:29:45 AM): Quack!
SlvrThistle (4:29:46 AM): Oh, hi!
SlvrThistle (4:29:49 AM): Quack!
Synagoga1 (4:29:58 AM): She says Hi too!
Synagoga1 (4:30:07 AM): What's that?
Synagoga1 (4:30:39 AM): But I didn't mean to!
Synagoga1 (4:30:44 AM): I'm sorry.
SlvrThistle (4:30:46 AM): What?
Synagoga1 (4:30:53 AM): They make me do it!
Synagoga1 (4:31:11 AM): She said that some of the buttons do bad things.
SlvrThistle (4:31:36 AM): That's... why I thought you should find out what they do first.
Synagoga1 (4:32:02 AM): So, they want me to do bad things?
SlvrThistle (4:32:08 AM): Apparantly
Synagoga1 (4:32:10 AM): But I don't want to do bad things!
SlvrThistle (4:32:17 AM): Then, don't.
SlvrThistle (4:32:43 AM): Don't press buttons until you find out what they do.
Synagoga1 (4:32:51 AM): Ok.
Synagoga1 (4:32:54 AM): But how do I find out?
SlvrThistle (4:33:04 AM): And then, just press the good buttons if there are any.
SlvrThistle (4:33:31 AM): Syn, try to see what they do in a vision.
SlvrThistle (4:33:44 AM): Follow the wires and connections?
SlvrThistle (4:33:47 AM): Can you do that?
Synagoga1 (4:34:44 AM): Ugh....
Synagoga1 (4:34:49 AM): So many paths....
SlvrThistle (4:35:07 AM): Don't try to follow them all at once
SlvrThistle (4:36:10 AM): Unless you really can, of course
Synagoga1 (4:36:12 AM): I.... I can't do it...
Synagoga1 (4:36:20 AM): I'm too tired...
SlvrThistle (4:36:24 AM): That's okay Syn
SlvrThistle (4:36:50 AM): You can wait until you're well and rested again.
Synagoga1 (4:36:53 AM): I'm sorry.
Synagoga1 (4:36:55 AM): I'm a bad Synagoga.
SlvrThistle (4:36:59 AM): And if you fail then, everyone has limitations.
Synagoga1 (4:37:00 AM): Bad bad bad.
SlvrThistle (4:37:01 AM): No! You're not bad!
SlvrThistle (4:37:06 AM): You're good!
Synagoga1 (4:38:30 AM): Oh... my friend left.
SlvrThistle (4:38:31 AM): Failing doesn't mean bad if you really tried. It just means you have limits like everyone else.
SlvrThistle (4:39:50 AM): Hm...
Synagoga1 (4:39:52 AM): It doesn't mean bad?
SlvrThistle (4:39:58 AM): No, of course not.
Synagoga1 (4:40:07 AM): Because Dark One says it means bad...
SlvrThistle (4:40:45 AM): It's not bad.
Synagoga1 (4:41:53 AM): Ok...
SlvrThistle (4:41:56 AM): It especially doesn't make you bad.
Synagoga1 (4:42:03 AM): I will tell him that my friends say it isn't bad!
SlvrThistle (4:42:18 AM): Okay
Synagoga1 (4:42:41 AM): Oh!
Synagoga1 (4:42:47 AM): Come to my birthday party today!
SlvrThistle (4:42:55 AM): Of course, I will
Synagoga1 (4:43:07 AM): 5:00 PM PST!!!
Synagoga1 (4:43:11 AM): That's what I am told!
SlvrThistle (4:43:24 AM): We were all going to give you gifts and play games and stuff.
Synagoga1 (4:43:28 AM): YAY!
SlvrThistle (4:43:40 AM): Smile
Synagoga1 (4:43:46 AM): I'm going to go to sleep now.
Synagoga1 (4:43:50 AM): But I will awaken for then!
SlvrThistle (4:44:05 AM): Bye, Syn
SlvrThistle (4:44:08 AM): See you later Smile
Synagoga1 (4:44:11 AM): I love you!
Synagoga1 (4:44:12 AM): Good night!
SlvrThistle (4:44:16 AM): I love you too, Syn

possibly "Learn Computing in 24hrs", or "My First Networking", or failing that, one of those sets of different sized rubber ducks for her tank.

SPEC well now, that chat reminded me of one of those experiments that they make soldiers do, i think. By forcing people to make decisions, but not actually know what the outcomes are, the people cannot knowingly do wrong. Its like those boxes that are used for self-euthanasia, or, come to think of it, some kinds of capital punishment, whereby 4 people press buttons only one random button works, so no-one is therby guilty, or has the moral guilt. its shared, if at all. OK so for synagoga, what they are trying to do is, because syn has morals, to make her do bad things, making her lose her morals effectively, by levelling the good and bad stuff, and because she has not much choice in the matter...well...neither did conscripted soldiers. What would be interesting is if we could somehow help her to see how the buttons work... maybe this new friend. Im gonna ask Syn to ask the new friend for some method of contact with her.
