From the ARGN frontpage...

"[ED. NOTE - 4:30pm PDT]: Despite the rampant speculation to the contrary, ARGN has confirmed that 4orty2wo Entertainment is not behind "Our Colony"

I'm not sure if this is old news or not, but I just came across these rumers:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We can't divulge the source of this information (what else is new?), but we've learned that Microsoft is going to be teaming up with Pepsi for a major promotion this fall in which they'll be giving away over 9,000 Xbox 2/Xbox 360 consoles in the weeks ahead of the next-gen console's official release. The contest will use an under-the-cap registration method (much like Pepsi did before with those iTunes giveaways), and supposedly they'll be giving away one console every ten minutes, 24 hours a day, for nine weeks straight.

and here is a different one:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It sounds like your worst Gen Y marketing nightmare: rather than wait until E3 to launch the Xbox 2/Xbox 360, Microsoft is going to break with game industry tradition (at least as much as the industry even has a tradition) and take the wraps off their next-gen console via a half-hour MTV special airing on May 12th that'll be hosted by Elijah Wood and feature a performance by The Killers as well as plenty of cameos by the usual round of athletes and celebs. Hardcore gamers might not like it (no one likes to feel like they're falling trap to some lame teen marketing machine), but Microsoft obviously believes that this next console is too big to be launched at a trade show event—they want to start building buzz on a global level from day one.

UPDATE: MSFT just released some more details about the broadcast. The program/infomercial will be called "MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed", be hosted by "entertainment icon, seasoned gamer and Xbox fanatic Elijah Wood", and premiere on May 12th at 9:30pm EDT. Click if you want to see the schedule for the rest of the world.

^^ your link isn't working, at least not for me.

And I had a pretty neat convo. with gamem8ker today. Here it is...

Calvinball05: hello?
Calvinball05: I have a question for you, gamem8ker
Calvinball05: if you are willing to hear it
Calvinball05: eh, I take that as a no. Maybe next time
Calvinball05: Well, keep uo the good work anyways, the website is awesome
gamem8ker signed off at 4:26 P.M.
gamem8ker signed on at 4:26 P.M.
Calvinball05: hello?
Calvinball05: I would like to ask you some questions, if you wouldn't mind
gamem8ker: Smile
Calvinball05: Smile
Calvinball05: nice website you got there
Calvinball05: anywho, why did you take away the forums?
Calvinball05: You must be busy, I will ask some other time.
gamem8ker: Smile
Calvinball05: are you able to talk to me?
gamem8ker: sure.
Calvinball05: wow, thanks
Calvinball05: so do you know why a lot of teams lost so many points, like team xbox?
gamem8ker: TeamXbox knows.
gamem8ker: they will never admit to it, though.
Calvinball05: well, I am on teamXbox, along with others, and I guess it would be because of their rumored cheating
Calvinball05: anyways, why are the forums gone? I would think they bring team unity, which is what you seem to want from us
gamem8ker: we tore down City Hall.
Calvinball05: that's an interesting answer
Calvinball05: So what did you mean when you said that when we are chatting to you, we aren't really chatting to you
gamem8ker: i didn't say that.
gamem8ker: read it again.
Calvinball05: Sorry I don't have the exact quote, my comp is bugging up, and I can;t go to any websites
Calvinball05: Can you tell me what it is again? I can't get to it.
gamem8ker: if you're chatting with me, you're not chatting with me.
gamem8ker: you're not going to chat with me.
gamem8ker: you won't chat with me.
gamem8ker: take it as you wish.
Calvinball05: I love your answers. Always so cryptic
Calvinball05: thanks for providing me the quote, though
Calvinball05: Is the countdown leading to MTV's unveiling of the next generation microsoft system?
gamem8ker: no comment.
Calvinball05: I should have expected as much
Calvinball05: Will you give out any new information for the solving of the riddles?
Calvinball05: hmm, not talkin, eh?
Calvinball05: well, you've given me plenty to ponder about, thanks a bunch

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet but I think that theres a PERSON warped into each of the ORB pictures... or at least the same thing into each of them... look at the top right portion of the orb on the outside for any of the images and it looks like a face (to me anyways)... Just keep hitting refresh to see the different images and the outer ring is identical on all of them and on some like the pyramid and the staircase in the upper right area the colouring just isn't right for it to have been warped un-altered... Anyone else think the same thing or am I just dillusional? (like my whole binary quest....)

It means you're a new colony and you need to get more people to get the challanges.

On the IRC Channel #ourcolony on gamesurge, we've pretty much decided the AIM dude is fake.

im on to something Very Happy

on the colony page it says "ready for more secrets?

if you aim to find the truth, you will uncover tom canty instead of edward

(to err is human, without the colony, you would have been misled by the error)"

someone posted the log http://www.ilovemyxbox.net/atm22.htm and it said about searching alex rosen, and finding the site newscientist.com...if you search alex rosen on that site you get a really weird thing about chaos etc....now i saw the "err" thing on ourcolony.net so i decided to search it in the search query...i got a few normal results...then these:

10. . . . . .
10 November 2001 From magazine issue 2316 Letters

14. Regrets, I've had a few...
Premium
31 March 2001 From magazine issue 2284 Opinion

18. To err is human...
Premium
...but a new generation of silicon chauffeurs is preparing to take to the road
20 February 1999 From magazine issue 2174 This Week

19. Ooops...sorry
Premium
There's a part of your brain that goes crazy whenever you drop a clanger, says Kathryn S. Brown. It's obviously trying to tell you something
13 February 1999 From magazine issue 2173 Features

20. To err is human
Premium
28 November 1998 From magazine issue 2162 Review

now the really amazing thing is this: some of those search results say "to err is human..." i clicked on on of the links that said this and the arcticle that came up says this (bloded important)

. . . . .

* 10 November 2001
* From New Scientist Print Edition. Subscribe and get 4 free issues.
* Roger Moffatt London

A recent experience with the airline British European proved rather more awkward than Quail's, when I was allocated seat 17A on a recent flight from Leeds to Belfast. Unfortunately the seating stopped altogether at row 14, proving once again that to err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer.
From issue 2316 of New Scientist magazine, 10 November 2001, page 55

err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer??? sounds like "(to err is human, without the colony, you would have been misled by the error)"

hmmm...do we have yet another link from ourcolony.net to newscientist.com?

try it! go to http://www.newscientist.com/home.ns and at the top type err... scroll down a bit and read all the strange and out of place articles...now to find out what it means by "if you aim to find the truth, you will uncover tom canty instead of edward"...maybe a scientist that posted an article on the website?? hmmm...

but "to err is human.." etc. is quite a common quote.
you see it stuck to the sides of computers in libraries and offices

but a quote that says "to err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer" on the same site as one that's already been linked to ourcolony.net is kinda weird........and a guy that posted on there has a name David Canter....Thomas Canty...i know it's a long shot but kummon..this game is a long shot
