Again, only by her colleague Camryn Scott does she get called Fran. As i've mentioned in another thread, I still think we are missing the start of the article, which may well give her full name.

Hardly a colleauge, Camryn is leader of the Perplex City Council, this is the person who Sente probably answers to Smile

Embarassed Oops! Ok fair point. But still, i'm not convinced.

Camryn could have been told that she likes to be referred to as Fran (just as i don't like it when people call me by my full first name - only my Mum gets away with that on a regular basis!)

If I were a newspaper story I would refer to her by her full name as disclosed by the coroner, eg: her birth certificate, or any other known legal ruling that may have changed her name during the course of her life.

That two different people refer to her as Fran, to me, means she prefers it.

Camryn may have never heard of Fran, but I think she would use the name that those closest to Fran used. Camryn is not writing for the newspaper, she is a human being being quoted by the newspaper.

Additionally, most people have a middle name. I know this because I do not.

None of our characters have middle names.

Very unlikely I reckon - why would someone with a PhD (or MD I guess....) be working security in some lousy gatehouse spending their days talking to grumpy Henrik? Smile

From the Receda Cube topic (for discussion here!):

^BonoVox^ wrote:
I would be pleased with an italian anagram but I think there are not so many context in which the term receda (something like "please recede")could be used, in fact I can only think about one in particular: "il diritto di recesso" (recede right law?) meaning you have usually seven days to test a product then you can decide to return it or keep it.
I don't think it is italian since the verb conjugation is really strange, you could use receda to say something like "please recede" but then what would be the meaning of the phrase? I'd go for non italian, maybe latin.

So Bonovox have you tried the Internet Anagram Server ?

It has an Italian option (as well as Latin), and you may be able to spot a good anagram.

Would be very grateful if you could give it a whirl!

Seej,

I almost have a PhD (and would write a lot more of it were it not for the cube) and yet might be calling you tonight to ask you questions about a well known high street food and clothing store...security sounds wonderful!

However, putting jealousy aside...I think you're entirely correct Very Happy

I tried and I can spot just a couple of intelligible words
Cadere (Italian) it means "To fall" - verb
Ad rece (Could be latin) don't know what this "rece" could be since I don't have a latin dictionary in my house but I did a google research and it turned up that it is a latin term of some sort.
Don't think this will bring us somewhere though Smile

When discussing anagrams a while back Potus came up with
Man lend F Ring
which set off some tiny bells. Isn't Fellowship of the Ring one of the movies on at Abbey Road on the 19th (F for Frodo?) movie made by Peter Jackson and another Fran, Fran Walsh.
Feel free to move this to Wild Speculation Wink

Actually, I wouldn't call it wild speculation, but how about instead irrationally exuberant. The Beatles (tying in Abbey Road again to the Lord of the Rings), had wanted to make a film version of the trilogy in the 60's starring John as Gollum, Paul as Frodo, Ringo as Sam and George as Gandalf... straying further, it was rumored that parts of the trilogy were allegories for the blitz, during which John Lennon was born.

Hmm ok interesting, thanks for trying. I wonder, did you also try Fran Mendling etc? If not, don't worry about this right now, i'm still desperately hoping that we will find out Fran's full name over the coming week or so!

you keep saying that. geesh! i can honestly say i dont think it gets much more fFull than what we have. I could be wrong. but i'd rather see more information about the perpetrators, or how they pulled it off, or where the cube could be, or something.

Is that true?!? If it is, why didn't they make that film!?! It surely would have been the greatest movie ever made! John as Gollum though? That doesn't sound right - surely John should have been Aragorn?

Anyway, this is quite alot off topic... Rolling Eyes

Yeah i know sorry, but i really think that this whole topic may be a waste of time without it.

Well obviously that would be nice too Wink I mean, i don't want the remaining articles to be purely dedicated to Fran, who at the end of the day could well be a very minor and insignificant part of this whole puzzle.

All i'm asking is for a few more letters to her name...is that too much to ask?! (possibly it is)
