here's a silly bit of spec. Both the pictures used to illustrate the top stories in the Sentinel have been cartoons. Are we dealing with some strange cartoon alternate reality? Why don't people in Perplex City use/take photographs?

they do take photographs and the sentinel uses photographs one of the ads that loads on the sentinel is a photograph of a person.

I think that it's more of a signature of the newspaper - they don't use pictures, they use drawings. If it really was started so long ago, maybe they didn't have photographic technology, and... I have no idea where I'm going with this.

Yes but the ad picture still disproves the cartoon alternate reality and the pictures steal your soul thing that have been mentioned in this thread. it's not that the sentinel can't use photographs for there article it's that they don't want to.

dunno bout any where else and i dunno bout sente --- but, in UK, all people involved in court are not allowed to be photographed in court --- so each paper has a court artist who draws picture

I imagine Iona Rodie being a something like Brenda Starr . All those wonderful things you think a good noble reporter should be.

Have we totally given up on cataloging a list of everyone who is mentioned? Probably just as well. I'll keep updating my above post listing what articles have been written by who. (actually, maybe i should have that added to the wiki)
