The Cube - aka the Receda Cube "is an archaeological artifact of unknown origin. It has unusual scientific properties, and has been extensively investigated by the Academy over recent years. Several religious and mystical groups around Perplex City hold the Cube as an object of reverence." It is metallic in appearance, has indeterminate mass, no discernable moving parts, and has markings on the surface. Should not be exposed to water, acetone, or liquid mercury. Was discovered in 7 A.C. Although a subject of controversy, the Cube is invaluable to Perplex City. Stolen on Jan. 16, 2004 (267 A.C.).

Leck (PCL) - Perplex City currency; perhaps equivalent to $0.1 US.

Key - currently speculated to be an ID-type thing, either embedded into software of portable devices, or belonging to a person (like a fingerprint). According to Von, it is a "combination of: 'a phone, a TV, a video, a computer, a stereo, an MP3 player, a bank card, a passport, a house key...'".
