A google search tells me an eel & cucumber roll is referred to "Unakyu" on menus. Don't know if this means anything or not.

Foreign entities? Like aliens, amorphous blobs and stick-men? Smile

The Djinn worm sounds promising. These two quotes make it sound like it might be a backdoor into accessing key information or a copy of the key itself. It was found in the Academy (the same time as the Cube theft - hmm...) and several large organisations last year. Can we access a Key Surety scan somehow?

When the Futures section mentioned base 3, it immediately made me think of the number 2210 from the Postcard.

2210 could be interpreted as being in base 3. Converting to base 10 would make it 75.

That doesn't mean anything to me, however. Confused

2210 in base 10 is 10000212 in base 3.

221545484848465100503215 (24 digit Postcard number) in base 10 equals

2202222202002122220112020021222020102001220202002 in base 3

Still don't see anything. Confused

I'm not sure what other numbers are out there that "base 3" could be referring to.

You're kidding me, right? Usually, I try to be really nice when replying to obvious trout, but I somehow think I'm going to fail this time. So let me start off like this:

a: What does this question have to do with this thread?
b: Did you try a search?
c: Did you try the wiki?
d: Did you try the primer?
e: Did you try the 24-digit postcard number thread?

Answer a for me, then try b, c, d, and e. If you still can't find the answer, then PM me and I'll give it to you. But this is a PERFECT question that can be answered with a search. And I'm a firm believer in teaching people how to do something rather than just blindly handing them the answer.

Letters

Tried emailing the letters page from the link on the new edition and think I got a slightly different response than usual

Thank you for writing a letter to the editor. Due to space consideration,
we are only able to publish a select few of the letters that we receive,
but we do read every one. Keep an eye on future editions of the Sentinel
to see if your letter appears.

Best wishes,
The Sentinel Staff

I think "Unakyu Temaki" is the fuller version. It has the word KEY in it. Can't find anything else.

The first letters on the Letters page is from a foreigner. I don't think they're only for Perplex City residents.

Just in case no one's checked

http://www.rollfordamage.com has been registered through GoDaddy.com.

That's the band mentioned on the front page of today.

Also, the term is a Role Playing Game reference (If you hit sucessfully, you "roll" dice "for damage", I think. Strange (cool) thing to name a band after.

Some of the Futures entries seem to direct towards individual letters. Perhaps we could end up with a (pass)word?

Quote:
The Spider (April 11 - May 10)
The Archer has you in her sights. Should your subdolous ways slip, she'll snarl. Scarper.

S

The Wave (May 11 - June 10)
Shuffle your way to heaven at your weekly card game. Bet big. Triangles are go.

D (delta)

The Half-filled Jug (July 11 - August 10)
Great minds think alike, so get together with a like mind this week. Let two halves make a sphere.

Your fiery nature ignites a skirmish against a rival team. Funnel your energies into something positive, and stop it. You know, before someone loses an eye.

Dunno Just an idea...

okay , a few thoughts. first off, on the galaxy. well, they discovered earth somehow, right? and the ability to communicate. therefore, this galaxy could have been discovered the same way, not via telescope, but ability to contact.

futures. as ive stated before, most horroscope writers for papers write them for particular people they actually know, as advice for them. hence why these seem so targeted. they may be clues, or they may even be advice for people the pms actually know. who knows. however, i think a craigslist ad or two might be warranted. as well as watching them and the other internet personals. as for ascendancy point, my scif fi mind immediately began thinking of a plane rather than planet, ascendancy point being some cosmological structure, but that makes no sense, since they have planets. it may be a nearby star cluster, however, or a black hole, or some other astronomical feature that effects them gravitationally more than a nearer planet. hell, might just be thier name for their moon?

ohh, and, card game. triangles are a go.

anyone else thinking rhine cards?

so, any like minded female jugs in az looking to make a sphere? no? didnt think so. sigh....

finally, yes, we do do heart reconstruction. often. im actually getting the feeling that in other than a few ways cube related, their technology may actually be lesser than ours. after all, they are a more cerebral, less violent people. most technological expansion comes from war.

worker, are you aware that there are 10 types of people in the world? those who understand base two, and those that dont.

I think that you shall never be as smart as those who know base three.

If the Futures are hints to us, I think this is a tip to use base two, since we are apparently "smart enough" to know at least that.

Postcard number in binary (base two) is

00110010 00110010 00110001 00110101 00110100 00110101 00110100 00111000 00110100 00111000 00110100 00111000 00110100 00110110 00110101 00110001 00110000 00110000 00110101 00110000 00110011 00110010 00110001 00110101

=======

Something interesting.

Code:
221545484848465100503215
Eelandcucumberroll

the two L's fit under 00, and the two E's fit under 22, and cucu fits under 4848. I'm thinking a changing code, perhaps some mutation of a viginere. And what do viginere's have?

...Keys.
