New Article In PCS In the new Article there's an emphasis on the ... I don't know how to put it... karmic? nature of the ecconomic boost - like the Chinese astrological thing - hmmm... *collects thoughts*
The Article:
Quote:
Economy Up After Vernal Equinox
By GARIMA KING
...emphasises the timing of the building boom and ecconomic upsurge; Councilor Ruth Sawyer cracks a good one:
Quote:
"A lucky day for the buildings in the city, not just a lucky day for building in the city!"
yuk yuk!
...and does it give us a year?
Quote:
"But you have to remember, last year was an exceptionally bad year. If you compare to March of 266,
)
...and the Vernal Equinox falls on March the 21st... ummm, the more I think about this... did we miss something on the 21st?
eek.

It probably nothing but the article mention a Ms. Tuileries.
The Tuileries is a famous place in Paris next to the Champ de Mars. Maybe someone living in Paris could take a look there...
However, the building is quite huge and it may take a while to comb everything for probably nothing

Feng Shui? Just like many tradiontional Chinese and Japanese and Korean people do here on Earth? This all started with syzygy and I think we must be missing a great deal in the astrology/futures. And agian I post with no key solutions - worthless!

Hey now fella... don't be too hard yourself. Remember, not everyone can do your job, sir.
Anyhoo, the dictionary says:
Quote:
vernal equinox
n.
The point at which the ecliptic intersects the celestial equator, the sun having a northerly motion.
The moment at which the sun passes through the vernal equinox, about March 21, marking the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
...and also points out...
Quote:
n 1: March 21 [syn: March equinox, spring equinox] [ant: autumnal equinox] 2: (astronomy) the equinoctial point that lies in the constellation of Pisces
and Pisces is the 12th sign of the zodiac ...which is the Eagle in the Futures...yes? no? Come on! snap out of it man *slap*
hehehe

Maybe it's just too early for me (6:30 am and already at work - ) but I don't get it. Is it a joke? Why is the Equinox a lucky day for buildings in the city? Why would buildings have luck? Why is my spidey sense tingling? Why does Starbucks insist on making up strange name for the sizes (Tall / Grande / Vente, my butt!) Help this poor boy out!

In many cultures, since the invention of the compass at least if not before this, people thought building their homes along certain axes, or orientations would help bring luck. THis is very prominent in Eastern cultures. The Vernal Equinox is also the start of some calendars.
Anyway, Gabriella Petel has to be cheating.
[Edit} Read this quote because you may find it helps you as much it helped me. You can find the entire Dictionary here .
Quote:
Geocentric vs. Heliocentric Astrology. As practised by various authorities in various countries there are two fundamentally different methods, or approaches, to Astrology: the Geocentric and the Heliocentric. Geocentric Astrology is based upon calculations of the planetary positions as seen by the observer on the Earth, i.e, using the Earth as a center. Heliocentric Astrology bases its interpretations upon positions within the solar system with reference to the Sun as the center. While it is true that the Sun is the center, the effect of the motion as manifest on the Earth is the basis of most astrological interpretation. Therefore the vast majority of astrologers employ the geocentric calcualations of the planets' positions.
However, these terms are used by many astrologers in a different sense, i.e., heliocentric when considering changes of position by virtue of the body's motion in orbit, and geocentric when considering changes of position with reference to the observer, by reason of the observer's personal orbit around the Earth -- the revolution of the periphery of the Earth around the Earth's center. Thus considered the Signs are heliocentric divisions, or Heliarcs, while the Houses are geocentric divisions, or Geoarcs.

Jeez 6:30am? that's bad man.
Na, it's not a joke - that's just me imagining that sound bite on the evening news - but, yeah, there's this lucky-auspicious-supersticious-type vibe going on.
Roger on the tingley spidey sense

We know that they current year is 268 AC. The articles in the "Receda Cube" section give the date that the articles were published in both AC and AD.

It's a pun. The phrase is almost repeated but with a slight change the second time means something different. Not very funny really, but I think that's what they're talking about.

the thing about the tuilieres building is not the first time names of journos/characters mentioned in the sentinel have been place names-
there was someone callesd Clapham, which is in London, someone who's first name was Hesketh- which is somewhere in the north of england i think.. and a few more I cant think of now....
are they just being creative about how they make up their names? or is there one of those movies-style patters on a map we can draw?
