I work about a block from the library in new york (40th and 5th). I ran over on a "coffee break" to check it out today, and they don't have a copy of Charlotte's Web at that location. There is however, another library right across the street that has a copy...unfortunately it was closed today for some reason. I'll try to check it tomorrow.

Actually I think the library is probably the going to be the answer, or at least one of them. The info from a whois on www.perplexcitysentinel.com shows:
Domain Name: PERPLEXCITYSENTINEL.COM
Created on: 05-Oct-04
Expires on: 05-Oct-05
Last Updated on: 05-Oct-04
and www.perplexcitylibrary.com shows:
Domain Name: PERPLEXCITYLIBRARY.COM
Created on: 05-Oct-04
Expires on: 05-Oct-05
Last Updated on: 05-Oct-04
as for www.ceretin.com:
Domain Name: CERETIN.COM

Last Updated on: 05-Oct-04
As a side note, I don't think they're parked. I think the Go Daddy screens are copied. Do a google on "Go Daddy coming soon" without the quotes and pick a few out, view the source, and compare. The source on mine includes my IP. Somebody better with pages might tell me what that means? The normal Go Daddy pages don't do that...
Edit: The library and the academy both show the Go Daddy screens but at the very bottom it says parked by sedo.com. The ceretin site doesn't say this nor does it have the source differing from the other Go Daddy sites like the other two do. Just noticed that...
self - The academy is already discussed here , here , and here . I'm leaving all this up in case others missed it, plus I'm curious as to the non-standard coding of the Coming Soon screens.

Well, I think we know for sure that Madame Bianca will be forecasting.
Quote:
The Eagle (March 11 - April 10)
Don't be so hard on yourself on Wednesday, it could happen to anybody. On Friday, though, you so should have seen it coming. Better luck next time!
And remember, nobody keeps a secret forever.
If a solve is revealed to us on Friday then Madame Bianca can either tell the future (though she is off by a week) or is secretly working for MC or Sente or both.
This prediction would be off by one sign in the "perplexian zodiac" and would be off by one week in it's release. The above quote is from April 11th.

Hi Gang
Error here, living in London and getting dangerously drawn into the cubism.
Here are some things from the book that Charlotte did with her web:
http://www2.lhric.org/pocantico/charlotte/chpt11.htm
http://www2.lhric.org/pocantico/charlotte/chpt13.htm
http://www2.lhric.org/pocantico/charlotte/chpt18.htm
Probably Red herrings but some kind of web communication sounds likely to me.
I've also posted this to the updates section.

Think the delay was coincidence.
Mima e-mailed scarlett and got a mention...not sure what the time delay was, but I would have said it was less than 12 days.
Much more likely that it's an illustration of drip-feeding rather than an alternative calender.

Maybe this means that they will post a puzzle on Wednesday (today) that is theoretically solvable, but won't give us a clue that would make it likely to be solved until Friday

that just reminded me of the evil [whispers]24 digit number [/whispers] probably theoretically solvable, but face it, without a clue, we're left to go mad.

emails to Scarlett Hi all,
I've been a bit awol, but am hopefully back. I sent Scarlett a couple of emails, with the mention on the 12/4 definitely an answer to a question sent on the 9/4. Boy did it give me a happy smile on my face. MUCHOS GRACIAS, SCARLETT. I got an autoresponder answer when I sent them in, and have been emailling as if she is my younger sister (have to confess that in my head she has a "younger-sister-who-maybe-is-nice-like-Fi" type vibe!). I'm also really chuffed to be IG/OOG, and just for the pedants out there, I'm a Maze!

Charlotte's Web checks? Much talk of people checking libraries for Charlotte's Web, but haven't seen any results (positive or negative).
Has anyone gotten to check? Negative results? (I'm sure we would have heard of positive finds)

I tried my uni library and got a copy out, rather old and battered, not really much I can do with it other than read it though... To be honest I just got it for reference to any charlotte's web-related clues...

Someone mentioned in another thread that the Charlotte's thing is :
use the web to communicate
Which is exactly what she did. I am going with that. I think the get to the library is just referencing the fact Bianca is talking about a story book. Otherwise people would be trawling Good Charlotte fan sites =P

I think that was me (although the idea could have been somewhere else and I missed it. I have to admit that there was a person on that forum that had 1 and 1 in his post, I just put them together to get 2 in mine. Once this clicked, it made a lotta sense.

Hi folks. I'm new and possibly crazy.
The line "And remember , the most amazing journey happens without taking a step" sounded to me like it was asking me to take the first word of each fortune (given the solution to a previous fortune puzzle, this didn't seem unreasonable).
Then the text of some fortunes seem to suggest manipulations or placements of the words, e.g. the clues for the Wave and the Archer suggest that the word from the Hand is bad and needs to be changed (I took "bitten" to mean shortened, so "It's" becomes "It"). "spheres don't rest against a wall easily" could mean that the word from the Three Balls is not placed beside the word from the maze. Deleting the second "you" as a duplicate, the most coherent answer I could get was.
Trust Long Webs When You Can't Quite Remember It All Well
Feels close, but not quite right.
