At the bottom of the current futures it says:
"And remember, truth can never be told so as to be understood, and not be believed."

Seems like a message to us from the PMs

could the futures section actually just refer to ONE person? Since almost no one reads them except a few, could we assume that The Eagle is actually one person given a codename? The reason I think this is because Sente still allows the futures to be broadcast via newspaper... if thats the case, whenever we find out who hooks up with each other in the middle of the week - we should have an idea of who "The Dragon" and "The Eagle" might be.

Hit brick wall with futures. There's just too many data/ variables for my small brain. So, new angle, new spec.
Why can't we take the advice in the futures literally? Perhaps the signs DO refer to teams that don't know who they are yet. As the game moves on, we may find chapters of players competing against each other perhaps by city, region, or something else. The futures section is a perfect way to give players feedback, and poke fun at our attempts to progress the game.
Sente would know that best results come from competitive behaviour so, although we feel like we're all in this together, we must acknowledge at some point that winning and loosing is a pre-requisite of finding the cube.
Does anyone know how widespread this thing is? Has anyone been checking the non-English language ARG/ Other forums for mentions, threads etc?
I'm feeling they (??) will want us to become more active and outgoing as game begins. The only way this thing's really going to blow up is if all these specers (myself included) get onto the streets.
Last thought: maybe the hunt for the cube will build the cube.

 		Just recently joined so been going over everything (and its a lot Smile ) but trying to find a general commonality with the futures.

The obvious one is that the Apple Thief is either a poem, a quote or somesuch. As such (going on the topic of each being linked to one person) someone in the Arts Dept?

Also as to themes - there also seems to be at least one question as the first line of a particular future. As to the significance of this I am unsure apart from general asthetics. The questions vary in the type of future and the only thing so far I can get (taking first letters from one of them each week) is the word Dergal (which refers to no a single person ot thing but like my mother always says i'm trying Wink )

 		Also - could be just coincidence but commonality in The Eagle's futures - though i cannot get to them all

March 21st - Heel, Coming Down hard (Stamp), Step, Game (an injury) = All things to do with a foot or leg

March 28th - Flounder, Sushi, Eel - Types of Fish

April 4th - Persistence, Stubborn, Stand your Ground - Being fixed or being single-minded

April 11th - Unsure (Luck maybe)

April 18th - Stand Tall, Strut - Things you do when proud

April 25th - Unsure again but perhaps ruin? Spil, Pop, Stick (I dont understand my logic either)

May 2nd - Plunge, Pool, Cast Rod, Here be Dragons - Things involving water

May 9th - Crisis, Vs, Ockham - conflict perhaps.

May 16th - Unsure here as well though the obvious are bird references, talons, feathers but this is the Eagle sign after all.

Again this may be nothing but what do people think?
