That E-mail to Sente is simply telling him that Project Syzygy is completed. You know, the pre-pre-game that was used to recruit PMs from Preplex City.

Err... excuse me but don't you mean 'PMs from Earth'? My understanding of the current belief is that the PMs are people of Earth. Am I right or should I shut up?

Hello everyone, this is my first post.
This may have been brought up and discarded already but reading the futures I noticed that only those of the Apple-Thief rhyme. Should they merit special attention?
Also the Midsummer Nights Dream quote is from Act 5 scene 1, delivered by Puck the trickster. The Apple-Thief could also refer to Loki, the Norse god of deception who steals the apples of immortality from Iduna.
The Dragon (the constellation Draco) was chosen by Hera to guard the Golden Apples and was killed by Hercules as part of his twelve tasks.
Significance?

O_O

You may be on to something. But how that doesn't link it with Perplexcity

Although the guarding of the 'Apples' eh?

I'm beginning to think that each future might be it's own individual puzzle. Some rhyme, some alliterate (is that even a real word) and others do heaven knows what else.

For instance, I just noticed this little gem:

Quote:
The Hand (January 11 - February 10)
Your newfound spirit of independence has opened many portals. Pay no heed to those who would direct your course; use your own internal compass.

As in, dimensional portals, perchance? Or maybe I'm just seeing shadows in the dark.

That could mean 12 different puzzles to keep us occupied! Brain meltage!

I realised as soon as I got away from the computer that the more obvious interpretation of apple-thief was Eve; the apple from the tree of knowledge.
The spider is also the representative of Anansie, the African god of tricks and illusions.
I think there might be one puzzle a week; the 'Patience Kids' puzzle required the whole section.
It's also possible the puzzle is only gradually being revealed. We might only have a section of the relevant materials.

Hello all.

Quote:
The Archer (June 11 - July 10)
Getting awfully full of yourself, aren't you? Don't worry, I know a little Hand who's going to put you in your place.

I don't know what context any of the futures fit into, or what scale they are on. However, if you take just The Archer from this week, the hand may be referring to a link. How a hand comes up when you hover over a link, ie www.google.ie So maybe it's saying we get a new link, or one that wouldn't give us anythin previously will now.

Edit: Posted before finished accidentally

Maybe its a schedule?

Maybe we're over thinking this a little, although I do think the references to a hand being an internet link are right...look at the first one..

Quote:
You've been hard at work spinning that web of yours. This week you'll finally get a look at your grand design. It's perfect!

The date of the first future is April 11 through May 10. I think the reference to the "design" and the "web" that is being spun are references to the start of the game. Maybe it means that we'll get a look at the "grand design" sometime between these dates?

Not a perfect theory, since the futures change...but maybe its a thought someone else can spin off of.

Update: just occurred to me that new futures should be out tomorrow and thus a "grand design" is unlikely this week. =( doh.

Futures section has been updated:

Futures
By Madame Bianca, for the week of April 18

The Spider (April 11 - May 10)
Web's done, so take a time out. Get to the library and ask yourself, "What would Charlotte do?"

The Wave (May 11 - June 10)
Trust your gut. If you think the hand's bad, it probably is. But then, you knew that, right?

The Archer (June 11 - July 10)
Well, that smarted! Sometimes it is okay to bite that which smacks you.

The Half-filled Jug (July 11 - August 10)
Remember how much fun you used to have with the neighborhood kids, playing tag in the street? Games can still be that freeing, so go with the flow.

The Dragon (August 11 - September 10)
You never were so hot at pick up sticks. Does it sting that she didn't call? Welcome to the rest of the human race, boyo.

The Three Balls (September 11 - October 10)
When the revolution comes, it'll be people like you against the wall. Of course, we all know spheres don't rest against a wall easily, so let's just say there'll probably be a vice involved.

The Dice (October 11 - November 10)
Long story short. Snorkels ahoy! Prepare to eat trout, you lucky duckling.

The Maze (November 11 - December 10)
Quite lost down the rabbit hole, aren't ya? This babe's the one to give you a helping hand.

The Apple-Thief (December 11 - January 10)
All work and no play yield great rewards at the end of the day.

The Hand (January 11 - February 10)
It's like I used to tell my sister: if you're going to head south, make sure you bring the spray. If you mess with the bull, you'll get the horns.

The Baby (February 11 - March 10)
Can't get that promotion you want by resting on your laurels. The effort you'll need to make comes reflexively to others, so you'll have to really put on a good show.

The Eagle (March 11 - April 10)
You have reason to stand tall. Just make sure you don't hit your head on that load-bearing strut over there!

And remember, the most amazing journey happens without taking a step.

[EDIT: removed spoiler tags. yanka.]

The future for The Spider obviously refers to "Charlottes Web" the popular children's book. The question is, what clues are in the book? Or is it a specific book to be collected at a specific library?

Also, there is a film of the book being made, does this mean that there is a clue in the movie/trailer?

this may be a little bit to ask, but if there's anyone that can easily get to the library we found a postcard in Alice, perhaps they could check there's nothing in Charlotte's Web?

Could be there's another clue there, but it would be a little lot obvious.

Does anyone know a way in which the different dates relate(Jan11-Feb10? Or the name of the sign, The Archer etc.? I don't know if we can take everything independantly, or that we are missing out something larger from linking the different futures.

Not to say that I don't disagree with what has been said before.
