But it could lead us in the right direction... especially if it is owned by an Ian or Nisha... it could be a big jump.... or a set back... it couldn't hurt though.
EDIT: Also... at the end of the riddles rant there is a question that says 'Why does she continue asking questions after death?'

Dead people can't talk (they can only ask questions)
I believe that is right.

I identified the boy and the girl from the Last Resort paintings:
Chardin's "Boy playing with cards" and "Girl with Racket and Shuttlecock".

Ok, 6 found, one to go, and there is at least one thing to say: ALL the paintings are at the Uffizi Gallery, Firenze. Hardly a coincidence, imho.
May "Uffizi" be a password for something?

Someone has been watching too much Beauty and the Beast.
"These pieces range mostly from the baroque period. But as I always say, 'if it isn't ba-roke (broke), don't fix it!'"

SITE CHANGE: There is a new behavior on the site, and no one seems to have reported it yet. I found out about it in IRC chat, from I'm not sure who, so can't take credit...

Actually, there is a whole thread devoted to this: [UPDATE] LRR Mailboxes .
Please take the time to look through all of the threads (especially where there are this few) before posting - or even asking in #heist if it's been reported if you are unsure.

As somone noticed somewhere else, the image in the background of the Last Resort site looks to have some kind of map in it. Look at the top part of the image, above the Caravaggio.
I may be wrong, but I think it's part of a Japanese map of the Paris subway.
Possibly the part from the Tour Eiffel to Pont Neuf, but this just is a wild speculation, I compared the image with a bunch of actual Paris maps and it's far from a perfect match.

The background images contain a Tokyo subway map. I was not able to find the exact map that was used, but I've put together a composite that shows them next to a normal map. Note that the maps in the background are upside-down and mirrored left-right. In addition, the color was inverted. "bottom2.jpg" also contains sideways Chinese or Japanese characters overlaid on top of the map, which I cannot read.
Retouched composite:

The comparison map I used is from here:

Mad props to catherwood for finding the last picture. Unsurprisingly, it's also a Uffizi Gallery painting.
