Args Merging Fairly unprecedented where two entirely disparate ARGs, Wildfire and Synagoga merged games. This can go ANYWHERE. And once again, new tools and new paradigm shifts occur.
Ain't it great when we get thrust into the future like this?

Not only are ARGs blurring the line between games and reality, they are blurring the lines between game and game. I always liked crossovers!

What this merger/revelation really needed, if it wanted to go the extra mile, was more cowbell. More cowbell would have made it irresistable for any player to jump on board.
Even without the cowbell, though... a neat twist. I'll definitely be paying more attention now.

Well, there has been the explosion of many a brain. And much confusion.

Let me join in praising the WI/Syn PMs for their bold and innovative idea. It really speaks well of the community when such a daring move is met with a positive response. It's the support of fans that give them the inspiration to keep on creating great games for us.
Such creativity and imagination, not only in plot but also in design, makes me very excited to see what they might come up with next. Great Job!

And let me join in in praising the Strange Dreams PM for doing the same thing that we at WI have done, only earlier in your game and earlier than us. Because I dared to look up to God, and I saw the dreams in the sky, and it was good.

Which one did SD merge with? I thought it was a redo like Pandora's Next.
And from all of us players now merged...
We're not worthy!
We're not worthy!
(and prostrate ourselves in respect)

Redo? o.O Strange Dreams was wonderful! Strange Dreams the sequel merged with Harbingers, the card thing.
By the way, both of you are genuises and amazing.

Hmm, I've got a bit of a dissenting opinion on this. I was playing Synagoga (but not WI), and, near the end of its individual run, I was getting a bit disgruntled with it. Two main issues: a) there was very little plot going on, and b) we were only being exposed to a tiny portion of the in-game world. The vast majority of our information about the world came from conversations with two characters (and a blind girl in a tank isn't really the greatest source of info). After the merge, of course, the reason for both of these things became clear. The rest of the plot had been going on in the WI side of things, and that game had access to the rest of the in-game town (we pretty much just knew about what went on in Wildfire's sub-basement).
Overall, it was a neat game, and I had fun. Hopefully I'm not coming off as too bitter here. I just hope that the ARG-merging doesn't become more than a one-time (well, two-time, but I don't know anything much about how the other one went) surprise twist. I think you do your players a disservice when you purposefully only give them access to a small part of the in-game world.
