Requiem for a Dream

I don't exactly think this is an ARG or anything, but it has an ARGish feel to it, so I thought it would be a pretty good thing to post. I searched and haven't seen this posted before, sorry if it has.

I just saw this movie today, and wow, it is weird as hell. A drug movie in a sense that it is about drugs, and that you need to be on drugs to watch it. The sites about the same.

Once again I don't think theres any game attached to it, especially for a movie this old, but I did waste plenty of time on this site, very interesting.

WARNING: Requiem for a Dream IS NOT for the squeamish or faint of heart. It is a very graphic movie, especially near the end. But, other than that, it's a great movie and should be seen if you can get past the more gruesome scenes.

If you watch it, be prepared for major depression afterwards. Crying or Very sad

Yeah. It's definitely not a movie to watch with a bunch of friends. It'll kill any fun you may have been having.

Oh, hey, you know what we also call that? RITALIN!

I'm on the stuff and its greusume... I saw the movie and decided it was time to talk to my doctor about the doses... the crashes are killer.
I mean I'm a sane person and all, don't get me wrong, but
oh, hello! Can you tell me where the TV station is? I'm going to be on tellllllllevision!

:shudder: I hated that movie for that

This was a spectacularly done movie, and I would reccomend it to anyone for the first viewing... However, I never wish to see it again. I would be missing out if I never saw it, but yeah... It's one of those types of things.

Let's put it this way: Trainspotting had ups. Requiem for a Dream just keeps spiralling downward.

It could not be better-crafted, and really speaks volumes about "addiction" in general, more than "drugs" specifically... but yeah...

An Amazing, Powerful Film. But definitely not one you're going to pop in the DVD player weekly.

I keep forgetting to mention that the theme from Requiem for a Dream was orchestrally redone for the Lord of the Rings trailer, although by itself as the string quartet version it's also very good. The whole soundtrack is good.

Wow, just doing that website for about 3-5 minutes (I kinda lost track of time...) was enough to creep me good for a while. Very powerful film, that one... it stays with ya.

However, The Watcher is correct... it's GREAT use of Flash. More mood in that one website than I've seen in many feature films. Not a pixel wasted here.
