Can any of those local to the dealership check police reports for that precinct to see if anything was reported by the dealership?

I'm thinking that the car theft is ingame. Otherwise, why would you post a phone number to Audi of America instead of giving police information. It doesn't even say that they will forward the information to authorities in the recording. I really don't think that any of us should start bugging the police about this. They won't be too happy getting a lot of calls asking about what to them is a prank/stunt.

AngelAnger, Is that Ian on the wanted flyer? Hard to tell in the pic you posted, but it looks like him. What's the alias listed - "John Mc" what?

Thanks! Great work!

le plot she thickens!

edit: to actually explain my links- ian posed as a reporter to gain access to the motor show. seems gunter 'bluechipped' the audi that was stolen, way back in emden (see big video of the warehouse scene).

Looks like the flyer says john McGill. John McGill is the alias of Ian Yarbrough, used on the press pass located in Ian's 'Personal Stuff' folder (http://iannet.lastresortretrieval.com/ian/presspass.jpg)

Uh oh..Audi knows something about Ian. There's a new voice message for Ian. Audi wants him to call them back.

I think they linked with the Bluetooth chips in the Audi's in the warehouse (something went wrong & Gunter was captured), and are planning to track one of them after the NY AutoShow.
1. Ian has a phone message from Gunter(?) about safehouses on 1 Mar.
2. Ian and Gunter have checked out Bluetooth schematics (Schematics, Gunter phone PDA & Bluetooth sch.)
3. Audi are bluetooth enabled, bluetooth has security flaws, previously "trusted" chip can be read at will, Ian also checked out Emden & Shipping - Misc stuff, Links, Recent unfiled.
4. Ian has made presspass for NY car show (Personal stuff), and that is where the Audi's are being shipped (Gunter Bluetooth car shipping info).
5. Gunter – broke-in, had key but struggled to get first door unlocked, cars unlocked, opened each car door, then went to bonnet, talked on phone, then started the next car he went into, then captured. – Movies, Emden Warehouse 15 Mar.
6. Ian wants to track a car – 1 Apr IRC chat w. CyberGosse - Program needs fixing to track a car (CG time=9am, DJH time=1.48 am), email through Tokyo server.

Ok, wow, unexpected, slightly confused though, if Ian had been intending to steal the car, why would he need the tracker that he was emailling CyberGosse about yesterday?

i think, that the car was stolen on the night of the 31st (2am to 4am) from the dealership/auto show (see my close to useless new thread) by persons unknown. Ian knew this was going down, and knew the thieves were somehow connected to what Gunter was doing to the cars in Emden. So in the latest video, we see Ian on the night of the 1st stealing the car back from the thieves... that's basically their (his and nisha's) job isnt it? to retrieve.

now why he decided to do this alone, who's to say. maybe he wanted to impress Nisha with his field-skills... Wink

His field skills, seem to leave something to be desired, I don't remember any shots being fired in her beautifully executed exits!

So, if they knew it was going, is the Audi phone call to tip him off that its time to get moving and get it back? Why bother though? If they thought it was going to be stolen, why not just up security, and why does their flyer show Ian?

Did someone notice that there is the same serialnumber/code on both the flyer and the "gunter bluetooth car shipping info"
I think it's somekind of ciphercode. Someone feel like cracking it?

During the violin job, Ian wanted to go in alone and Nisha said no. I think he's been slightly frustrated always being at the back end of things.
