Where have all the ads for Ceretin gone? I thought there were several yesterday, but now I can only find one (in the Cahill report - but even that seems to only appear randomly).

The way in which Cahill is treated reminds me a lot of the way in which champions were revered in the days of the ancient Greek olympics, where there was initially a single champion and they were treated like gods on earth. Could be a parallel here...since this Cahill is the champion of "The Perplex City Academy Games
Couple of observations-- just furthering some of our previous spec...
- The term Athlete in PerplexCity is now definitively refering to mental competition, as it is sponsered by the academy. Notice Cahil is an "athlete," who was guided by Sente, and whereas most of our athletes devote time to physical causes, Cahill is devoting time to the anti-drug campaign, and cognitive disorders.
-There are apparently no league distinctions for Men and Women as his main competition was Serena Duncan.
-And my God, Sente is sort of the ever-present figure head in PerplexCity or so it seems-- got his hand in everything-- How Bill Gate's with Political Power-ish

I would guess that it's more of an indication that Sente took the same route to power himself. Perhaps the games are a way of making yourself known in the academic world and proving your skills.

nope, i'm seeing them all over still.
and i think its kind of funny reading the anti-drug issue in the cahill article with a ceretin ad directly above it.
edit- i take that back, there is definatly a lack of those blocky ads in the articles that used to be right in teh middle of them.

Good to know that the world of Perplex City has irony just like ours.
Also good to know that their worlds news sources are just as terrible at seeing irony as ours.

I can't imagine a world without Irony - and luckily we won't have to

Although, Scarlett's a red head and her freckles are most likely to be genetic rather than induced by sunlight. But she does look a bit morose in the pics...so could be suffering from SAD in her big spaceship!
