If you view the source of the page, you see that it's supposedd to be written in ghoti font.

It's not a standard font and even my computer with 800+ fonts installed didn't have it. However, you can download it here: http://www.demeyere.com/shavian/

It didn't seem to give me much added insight, but with everything, your mileage my vary.

 		Ghoti font is used for the Shavian alphabet. The Shavian alphabet was used to decipher the first mythosphere page. The alphabet was posted by someone (not sure who, sorry) but here is a site with more info.

I downloaded the Ghoti font and now the tseliot page shows up in Shavian. It was in English before wasn't it? Or am I going crazy Rolling Eyes

Yep. It led me to start to spec in chat that it was an error and that when "the guides" made the page, they meant that the font showed up and not the english letters. What they should have done, if that was their intent, was make it an image as they had done before. That way it would show up on computers that didn't have the font installed. So, since they had done it that way previously, I wondered if it meant something. I was quickly shot down in chat as old news, but wasn't there for their discussion on the matter. So, I don't know what they came up with. I assume that it's pretty much an accidental oversight. Could be wrong though.

You may be going crazy, but not as far as the font is concerned Smile It, along with anything else in the future that calls for that font, will show up with it. The font tag in the source code basically says "use this font if you have it, if not use the default". So now that it's on your computer, you'll see things with it if it's put on the page as the font to use. If that makes sense. It's 3 am so I'm not sure if I explained it well.

 		Is it possible that this was a mistake, and that the PM's/Guides meant to embed the font, but accidentally didn't? Sure, it would be an easy puzzle to solve (look in the source for the text), but it's possible they meant to have it on this page. It wouldn't have been picked up by a PM previewing the page, as they would already have the font installed on their computer. Anyway, it probably doesnt mean anything, but it's good to pick up on this, and realize what Ghoti is. Great job, guys!

I hope we all remember Brooke's "Alba0" font mistake during LJ Mr. Green

0 O 0 O 0 O it's just all so confusing! (ok, so it's not as confusing when they actually look different, but in my text editor they were nearly identical! I'll swear on that until I die Smile )
