[NEWS] Xbox 360 to be unveiled on May 12th on MTV

I believe that the countdown was to the MTV special all along. With today's new phase, "Truth," we finally know the "truth" behind the countdown, i.e. Microsoft and MTV released the information on the show. I have a sneaking suspicion that the show will take major cues from the site, either in presentation (graphics, scripting, etc.) or in the idea of colonies (New Xbox's emphasis on online functionality, having a group of friends competing together in a variety of events [like the current LIVE setup]). Add to that suspicion that the winning colony may have a part to play in the show.

Dude..I was so close to being the first to say it...beat me by an hour!

damn though this kinda sucks that we know what the countdown is going to...unlike ILB which totally through us for a loop. If this is 4orty 2wo Entertainment Im kinds dissapointed... Sad

But the MTV show apparently airs at 9:30pm EDT. And (assuming my math is correct, which it usually is) the colony counter ends at 8:30pm EDT, a full hour before the show. I don't the variance can be attributed to my computer's clock, either...I'm on the west coast of the united states, so it would be a three hour difference.
