Before I elaborate. let me fill you in on my trip to Argentina - as all my photos have disappeared I had to verbally describe James to everyone I spoke to. This was particularly hard, given (as proven on my trip to Mexico) I don't speak a word of Spanish, nor Italian or French, but Buenos Aires is full of English speaking people. That, however, didn't stop them from staring at me like I was 'loco'. Unfortunately, as I'm sure you've already guessed, I found nothing of any use. Three people recognised the description I gave, but didn't know who he was, who he was with, or what he was doing.

It has, however, given me hope. These people saw him alive in Argentina just 3 weeks ago! HE'S STILL ALIVE!!!

Now - since I've put the NYPost ad in, I've actually had useful answers!! I won't put the answers up here, but the letter and the voicemail actually meant something.

Scary somethings, but something nevertheless.

So where to from here? I could try and follow up the therapist some more, or try and find all my photos. At any rate, I'm home. I'm scared, but I'm at home. Thankyou so much, my new friends, thankyou for helping me.

 		I got that too. I did send an innocent e-mail to Nic MacFarlene on the first day, but I haven't gotten a reply.

Did you try going to your local police station with that code? Highly unlikely that they'll give you any information, but worth doing just to find out.

I've figured out that if you seperate the numbers and letters in the code, the numbers decode to 'htm' in octal. Working on 'ybtbubar' now.

I got the same email from alesha, and theres a new blog entry-

I received a troubling email today:

I have stumbled upon a site linked through FACAB's .... could you guess at ausername/password combination they would use to sign into the site?

I understand you all want to help me, and I will never forget anyone for that, but please, DON"T do anything that might get you further into trouble.

Does anyone know the address of the site she mentions?


If this info is supposed to be in a spoiler window, I apologise (first arg, fist post here), when the letters are converted to numbers (A = 1, etc): 251250201624212111855

But it doesnt mean anything when decoded in octal, or if converted from octal to binary and decoded that way.

Converting the numbers to letters doesnt work (what would 0 be?)
The letters dont seem to be an anagram for anything.

I'm kinda stumped...

Has anyone signed-up for a Facab newsletter? I'm just wondering should I- if they send a newsletter, it may contain a clue?

Ah, to heck with it, I'l subscribe anyway and see what happens...

I havnt recieved anything like that (yet...).
I emailed Alesha, asking if she could post the name of the website thats mentioned in her last entry, or the email address of the person who told her about the site. Hopefully she'll respond.

 		If you check the IU forums you would know that the PMs have kicked this issue aside, a player found something they shouldn't have done by going behind the curtain. It's been sorted out, so don't persue it any further. Currently we need to concentrate on solving the latest puzzle.

 		Hello there, newcomer to the site and I'm rather intrigued.

Have read through the blog and the first (solved) puzzle, going to take this one home tonight and have a ponder...

Two things, though, and many MANY apologies if I'm being daft... Where did the jpeg image come from? And secondly, don't bits of the code look a wee bit like text messaging? b4ub1 = before you be one?

Anyway, doubt that has much to do with it, I've emailed Alesha and the FACAB people, will let you know if anything different turns up.

This is my first stab at ARGing, it's quite exciting truth be told!
