Erm, sounds OOG to me... It looks (to me at least) like it's just auto adding you to the mailing list from facab.org, and that's where the PM's are able to access their web-based blahSPLAT facab.org emails from...
I guess
Jeb (btw, hi to everyone here, some people might know me from PxC, I'm just lurking here, looks too american-based for me though )
EDIT: has anyone thought of taking the side of FACAB for proper in this one - giving them information on Alesha for example? Just a vague thought from the "If you have any tips or useful information, please e-mail us at...." bit...
EDIT(2): just sent an email to alesha in a similar vein to her own blogs - hidden message behind something totally innocent (quadraplegic detective thriller, made into a film, I can't remember the name... any ideas (I said that to alesha, I'm now asking you lot, I'm stumped...))

Insider Trading I was thinking of trading my "good guy" hat in for the more unpopular "bad guy" hat by e-mailing FACAB with any and all information Alesha has. But, the angel kicked the poop out of the devil on my shoulder and I gave in against my better judgement. I guess you can say I'm a sucker for women. *waves fist in air* "Why do you torment me like you do?"
On a brighter note... it seems like our good ole' friends at IU have cracked this thing.

Fed up with waiting for Perplex City to happen, I decided to jump on here. Busy speeding through the blog.
has anyone else noticed this in the source code of the main facab page?

This is what was solved in the above post. This is what you use for encrypting/decrypting an RSA-coded message. The message to decode was found on the documents page. Which gave us the page that ItWasntMe said before.
And, may I add, it was a pain in the behind to solve this one

Oops, sorry about that. I guess that means I'm caught up on puzzles for now.
Although, has anyone tried destegging the UN pic? I've tried a few differnt passwords and none of them work. (FACAB, James, Alesha, etc)
Lets see, I emailed Alesha (gave her my cellphone number) Oh, and I emailed FACAB saying I was with the press and wanted an interview with Nathan Grant. We'll see what they say.

I e-mailed Alesha about this (whether is was something that she did or something the blog site did). Sure, it's an obvious answer, but I want don't her to think that we are missing anything. So, we'll see.

Alesha has said from the start that she knows nothing about operating a computer let alone coding something into a webpage. I would say its OOG.

When you load something onto the internet, you are the one who decides what to name the file. So, I'd have to disagree with that way of thinking.
And don't believe everything that you read. I still haven't fallen for that "I lost my fiance...boo hoo!" story yet. Maybe FACAB is the "good guy" in all of this and Alesha is really trying to find James so she can kill him. You never know with these things!

Yep, Iswear has a point. Sable and Shuck, anyone? Sister my foot. Although, these FACAB guys are a little too suspicious to be the good guys. Unless they are all in cahoots and playing good-cop/bad-cop with us.

I suppose we don't know exactly who to trust, but she didn't create the webpage...she is just writing in a already created blog site. I am pretty sure its just fill in the blank and post...just like this forum.
never-the-less, I think you should go continue to pursue the possible bad guy route and see what you can find out by communicating with facab.
I wouldn't give up any of her codes yet...not that they are hard to crack, but....that report.txt seems to indicate that James is out of their control too. So they may not be the bad guys...but I wouldn't give up Alesha just yet.

Anyone tried logging on to facab.org recently? Seems they haven't paid for hosting, it's some random search engine now...

Not sure if this should have its own topic string: The FACAB.org site has updated...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://www.facab.org/log01.htm has changed.
Four of the letters in the log have been set to a different colour-
'h' is now blue/turqoise (color=#00FFFF),
'B' is now grey (color=#706166),
'a' is now a slightly lighter grey (color=#786173) and
'f' is now a lighter-again shade of grey (color=#746679)
This is my first find/pseudo-solve! . Yay me
