[CHALLENGE 4-12-05] Flaw in Hi-Res Image?

I don't think that the absence of information is worth digging into. We already don't have plenty of information. I'd focus on the information that is there. But who knows? Maybe you'll find some clue some where; I'm just guessing.


which begs 2 questions:
1. why would you put a sticker on a cherry ferrari 360 modena
2. why would it only be there on the front fender?

 		That wouldn't be a common spot for a sticker. Look t this image for a reference

Its right below the headlight, any sticker would be more towards the side of the car.

It looks to me like it's covering up a reflection of a word that begins with the letter x.

The reflection appears to be on a banner that is hanging in the air above the race track, Alot of games have ads for thier own systems on these banners, so most likely it says xbox 360 and they didn't want to reveal thier logo.

But all of this is just my $0.02

 		heh, i had to go last night, just when i was in full flight.

so, yeah, i'd agree that we might be chasing something that's purely superficial, and has no bearing on the direction of the game. It's just the way it stands out in the high-res image we were given, i would've thought they'd make a better effort to clean it up. But yeah, i'll keep an eye on it and think some more, but not focus all my rather pathetic fact-finding efforts into it

edit: i did look up a proper photo of a Ferrari spider 360 last night, and that little grey square is in roughly the right position (see attached image), so i guess that kinda lends some credibility to the 'sticker' theory. could just be a funny unreflective texture to act as a placeholder for the in-game sticker

I can't remember where I saw this, but I read somewhere yesterday that if you piece together the original puzzle images, the fender shows what appears to be a sideways "3" or "E", which has now been photoshopped out of the image.

 		Correct, but the E/3 was above the patch being talked about here, immediately under the headlamp, another thread has a copy of both pictures side by side.

sensing a theme...

'E3' would be the only new thing added to that list, but I think it makes sense that the '3' may have something to do either with 'E3' or Gotham '3'

edit: and ya, the missing '3' and the (supposedly) edited fender are two different monsters

 		The letters LLE can also be seen relfected on the car.

They are rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise and are just to the left and inline with the bottom of the grill.

I don't have anywhere to host an image, so if someone else finds them, they can throw a pic up Smile.

i'm starting to think now, that anything we might find in this picture isn't going to be a clue, but more just some kind of mistake the developers left in by accident. it's not gonna help us play the game

That's what I'm starting to think. I thought it might be some kind of theme in all of the "reward" pictures, but looking at the other two, I don't think it is. As time goes on, my suspicion grows stronger that it's just to cover up a brand name or some other kind of obvious giveaway.

 		Why would they put a sticker in the bend?
Why would they do such a great job removing the 3 but leave such a crappy job with this part? I feel there is more to the picture.. and the flaw..
