I took a screencap of one of the "static" states. I can confirm that the name int he lower left changes to "Colin" but that's the only interesting thing I noticed.

Display Read Option is a term from a programming language. I don't recall which language (it was 7 years since I learnt it) but I'll see what I can come up with. Might just be my bad memory though...

I've been analyzing the name "Cassandrai Christopherenanopolis". You see her listed on the PGSS website listed as a therapist. It seemed such a bizarre name it warranted a deeper look. This may all be wanking around with a random name, but it may mean something too.

Cassandrai: Well, Cassandra (no i) is a famous character in Greek mythology. Apollo courted her, giving her the gift of prophecy, but she turned him down. Since he couldn't take the gift away, he instead cursed her so that although she could foretell the future, no one would ever believe her. She played a small role in the Trojan War--being a Trojan princess, she warned the Trojans not to take the trojan horse, which along with the testimony of another soothsayer who was promptly eaten by sea serpents convinced the trojans that they should bring it in.

Why the extra "i" in the name of our therapist? Two possibilities: It's either a corruption--deliberate or accidental--or, going by my fake-latin skills, it's pluralizing the name. You know, like the plural of radius is radii--Cassandra turns to Cassandrai. So, "cassandras".

Christopherenanopolis: Right, this was a tricky one. Christopheren means, more or less, "carries Christ to..." in Greek. This leaves anopolis, which has several possible meanings. One is the direct--Anopolis is a village in southern Crete. Changing the spelling a bit, Annapolis is a major city in Maryland, USA. On the other hand, you can break it down to roots, in which case you get "an" and "opolis". "An" means "without", and "opolis", as I'm sure you can guess, means "city" (albeit the preceding o is unneccessary).

So, where does this leave us? Cassandrai is an obvious reference to prophecy--and since we've been getting messages apparently from the future through IRC, the link here seems obvious. The potential plurality of the name doesn't mean anything particular to me though, except inasmuch as there is more than one of us seeing these messages.

Christopherenopolis seems to mean something like "Carries Christ to Anopolis(Annapolis?)" or "Carries Christ without (a) city". The first is clear enough syntactically, but I have no idea what either Anopolis or Annapolis has to do with anything. The second is open to interpretation--is Cassandrai without a home in some sense? Does this mean "Carries Christ to no specified location"? "Carries Christ, who has no city"? Why the Christian symbolism?

A thought on that last point--the whole deal with Christ is of course resurrection. Who has apparently come back to life recently? Shadown, of course. Although Shadown and Jesus sure don't seem to have much in common beyond that. This puts Cassandrai in strong suspicion--if she's "Carrying Christ" does this mean she's somehow helping Shadown?

Of course, there's also the possibility I'm violently flaggelating myself with a very large trout. But like I said, the name is so weird, especially compared to the others, that it begs a closer look.

I suppose that since I was mentioned by Shadown (an undeserved honor actually) I should make a quick post here. I've gotten both of the IMs and am really looking forward to whatever this brings.

I've heard a riddle similar to this before, and the answer was 'a candle', because you can fill a room with light. Similarly I guess you could say 'a match' as well.

What I'm wondering, is where do we enter our answer?

EDIT - the wording of CC32's question suggests to me something similar to the Rendezvous we had with him in PG. i.e. we just tell him the answer when he comes online (typically these happened around midnight EST). Another option is that there is a page on the PG site somewhere. Hmmm.
