Aha! The shoes are back. And Lyssa too. I'm still getting the strong feeling that lately the articles are trying to get us to look more cloesly at something we already know.

...and another reference to Alice In Wonderland. I guess it is quite an apt story considering the whole 'dropping through a portal into another world' theme that Perplexians can relate to.

How can we use the citizenry's high interest in us to begin taking the initiative and get more information than we're currently receiving. I've said this before, but I don't trust Sente. For someone who's lost a precious, priceless artefact he's far too relaxed.

It's all very cute and inconsequencial.
I approve

Eh? I thought we decided that they could not get through to earth re: [SPEC] receda cube ... Also, what "line of work" could that be? Again - bloody Alice in Wonderland... I'm thinking back to BJG (See this thread ) - the unluckiest man on earth, or asking for trouble (to fill you in, he's the lead web designer of play.com, where up til yesterday the pick of the week on the front page was... Alice in Wonderland DVD)
Finally

That is quite cool - a department store sized puzzle bar... - just what us lot need to keep our brains supple

I think she's being figurative. As in: she spends so much time studying earth that it's like she lives there... I mean here.

Isn't Lyssa an academy researcher?

"reality researcher"? They refer to us an an "alternate world" rather than another planet (suggesting an alternate or parallel universe), but they refer to us as "reality". I can't see any way around them thinking of themselves as being unreal or imaginary.
Wild spec here, but perhaps they live is some kind of computer-generated "Matrix" world, but know about it????
Also, I really think that we're not being given clues about the cube directly because the PMs want to introduce us to an entire new world and the cube quest is just an initial quest to introduce us to this world. I think that from a game perspective, it's the world that is important and not the particular quest.

By 'reality researcher' I assumed it meant someone who investigates and studies alternate realities, of which ours is possibly only one of many.
I guess ours just happens to be popular at the moment

It just occurred to me that Scarlett mentioned not yet being able

so perhaps they are physically real? Perhaps they use the term "reality researcher" to refer to someone who studies parallel universes?
edit: you beat me to it, Brat.

I don't think that's what they mean, although I could be wrong. I see it more as she's a reality researcher, meaning she goes over other worlds, etc. (like us) to determine what's part of their reality and what isn't. Could be totally off-base though. Sort of the same if we called our paranormal researchers the same thing. Not because we necessarily believe or not in what they're studying, but it'll help define what is real, even if it's not.

It's been tossed around a few times, and it would fit a lot of the details. I think it's definitely something to keep in mind.

Nice thoughts. Of course if I were that interested in the details of the world, I'd be away in the real one. There's plenty in our world to appreciate if one looks for it. Let's get on with the adventure...

Fair enough, that pretty much answers everything
Just noticed another thing:

Any significance maybe? Why would you be evasive in answering such questions? Suggestions on the back of a postcard to the usual address...
