Found this in an angry draft in Ian's e-mail box. Is it just him hitting keys really hard, or is it some form of encryption?

Yeah, that seems to be very common lately.

Oh wow!
There's so much stuff in there, it may take weeks to check everything out.
The whole thing just gets better and better every day.

Is anyone going to call Derek(the guy who got his violin stolen)? His phone number is 212- 658- 9803...
EDIT: also on another recording is the phone number for a 'Fred'...1-404-393-9666... he does have an 'ongoing case' folder in Nisha's box, might be promising.

Username/password combos, in case they might be useful:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
u: Ian
p: kdnvbod
u: Nisha
p: urjfl
u: Client
p: nvlsopposs
Note: Apparently any password will work, the above passwords are the ones that automatically appear in the password box when selecting a username

edit: just found this, almost makes me think we're a bit ahead of ourselves:

The italics are mine...I didn't see a note like this in any of his other new servies e-mails... The actual attachment to this e-mail is "El Greco listed as missing after home theft"

Does anyone here know Russian?
Could you possibly translate the audio file called "Date: Jan. 24, 2005 4:32am" in Ian's Andre folder?
It's probably not important, but with these things you never know.

Here's the translation of that audio file:
Quote:
Hi, Nisha! I hope that you will receive this message... I thought it would be safer to call you here than to the hotel in S. Petersburg... Yeah, we could have it arranged with that girl so that you could go instead of her to be the cleaning person [like a "janitor"], but it will be expensive - $500. You understand that if Yuri finds out how you got there, he will be FURIOUS! So, don't fu...[recording breaks for a second here - so it's hard to tell which word did not get finished, but I'm pretty sure it's something along the lines of "screw up"]... Come over when you retrieve/obtain/get the folders.
I was also asked to translate this receipt : Someone with a last name Scott (I can't make out the first name initial) stayed at a hotel called Protva from Jan. 25 to Feb. 1, in room 207. Paid 5000 rubles.

Thank you, yanka.
All this information was presented to us through an error. I would expect the characters to patch it up eventually. Is there a way to quickly save it all for reference later?
EDIT: Will Star doesn't have the best grammar in the world, but this e-mail seems to have worse grammar than usual. Potential code? I may be overly suspicious, but it may mean something.

sweet thanks Yanka. Going through all of this stuff is going to take a while, but it will be fun. I'm trying to decide what is the most important stuff to start with, so if anyone has any insight into that, let me know. I can't really look at it before tomorrow so you guys will probably have a summary and a complete report from someone's visit to the Scratch Factory tonight. I can't go on Thursday nights but I would be willing to give them a call after I have some idea of what is going on here.
along the same lines of mixing real events with the game story as in the willtv website, the New York Auto Show is a big annual event at the Javitz Center and is being held now - Ian has a fake press pass to that event on his site.
OK - to answer part of my question about what is here. You really have to look, but in addition to the client videos, there are photos of the characters, stuff about the most recent cases and, most interesting to me (story-wise) the email thread between Virgil ( love the name) and Nisha in which he is explaining the concept of the game he is going to make based closely on her life and real- life events.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I am thinking out loud nowthat's all. I am struck by the Nisha video
game's triple-barreled approach to the real. The selection of
storylines all adhering as closely as possible to the actual unfolding
of your own adventures (as detailed as possible) and then the fact that
the stories are not based on some historical event in the past but on a
real-life event in the near-presentand all of it made super-real
because it's being enacted by a real-life professional at the top of
her own game (I might want to use that phrase in the early website
descriptions).
