[QUESTION] Is colonize.com part of OurColony?

Did anyone work out if this site had anything to do with ourcolony? It's the site that had the "Presidential Warp" thing linked from ourcolony on the word "political".

Colonize.com does seem kind of weird, no contact details except for e-mails, totally random "internet news" on their front page, just wondered if anyone had followed it through.

EDIT - topic clarity - SG

colonize.com

if you visit Colonize.com it is whats known as a customer aquisition company.
Quote:
Colonize is a leading direct marketing firm that specializes in acquiring large numbers of customers for businesses.

If my guess is correct, these are the people behind ourcolony.net, gathering customers for the launch of the xbox 360.

I thought it was odd too, but I did looked through various other web sites and that company is mentioned on a lot of other web sites. Maybe they are running the game . . .

Mailing list

I went ahead and added one of my junk email addresses to this list, I'll keep you posted if they send me anything weird.

I was tempted to add myself as a client looking to hook up with them, but haven't taken that step yet.

Not sure if anyone else had this problem, but I wasn't able to bring up the privacy link on their site. It never timed out, but it kept loading the page for minutes without ever showing anything.

Google's cache

Looks like Google first cached the site on the 6th of April. Don't know if this is significant, but isn't that about when OurColony really got going? Anyone more savvy out there that might be able to figure out when the website was established?

That date doesn't have to be accurate though, they could just put 2004 on it.

Mabye they know many people playing their games find their site and if they devuldged any contact info they'd be bombarded by them. Seems reasonable to me though.
