I've been following this at my own site but I lurked here a bunch during ilovebees, so I thought I'd help...
So, I'm not sure if this will lead you folks anywhere but the photo's name is 112798, which could easily be November 27th, 1998. The AACI.org foundation was started on November 27th, 1973. So that makes it the 25th anniversary. I can't seem to derive anything from that and the site doesn't mention anything about their anniversary or anything, but that seems like an obvious link.
As for the words, I imagine it says "THANK YOU". Sure looks like the bottom of an N and K to me.

the AACI link, since they don't seem to be making components that would otherwise be in a computer, could prove to hold some source of information for us (almost looks like a leaflet positioned in shot)

I looked up 112798 on google and found it as the code for a GeiL RAM chip called the golden dragon...
Maybe nothing but that does sound vaugly asian ?
