that word is considered "theirs". They use it to show respect amongst one another and to remind themselves that they will never pick cotton ever again. For a white man to use it, the very people that enslaved them, is VERY offensive. Clue in. There's more to the word than being in your favourite rapstar's vocabulary

SPLAT is a term not used by programmers but in order to fend off the spam bots that collect emails. They look for the @ sign.
